I'd love it if Steam just took input from it and converted it to xinput directly, making it work system-wide, not just for Steam games but for everything like DS4Windows does
steam controller input works on the desktop

if this means I can use steam on-screen keyboard with a DS4, I'm set
Xbox one controller > dualshock 4 any day of the week.
I like both.
...but I had my Xbone controller shit the bed after 6 months (dpad started malfunctioning), while my DS3 and DS4 controllers still work without a hitch.
I will say I'm not really a fan of the DS4's dpad compared to the DS3 though. It just feels too stiff when it comes to fighting games for me. Everything else is great though.
No sign of love for the old Dualshock 3? I inherited one off the back off an old PS3 dying and I don't see the need to change it.
By All major controllers does that include the Wii U Pro Controller?
iirc the Steam Link actually supports the WiiU Pro Controller so probably yes, actually.
Dualshock has always been a bit too small. I also much prefer the layout the xbox controller has.
i thought i was alone
i almost get hand cramps by using it because it's so tiny
I thought the DS3 was small, DS4 is fine imo. I don't know if the 360 controller is any bigger though, never had that one in my hands

Huh, it looks like DS4 is slightly bigger than the xbone controller?

people with bigger hands have said that they like the xbone ones better
vice versa for small hands

Using the new white one and my friends dualshock 4 for extended periods of time, I found myself more comfortable with the xbox one controller (especially since it now has the grip on the back). I preferred the sticks and the triggers mainly. I felt I could also be more precise with the one controller since the design is more comfortable than dualshock for me. Dualshock also has the light on the head and that touch pad that I really don't see the practicality of. Plus its quite ugly imo. After awhile of use with the dualshock 4, my thumbs tend to hurt a bit.
I actually consider the x1 controller to be far too large. Had the same problems with the 360 controller as well.
Native BT support on the dualshock is awesome as well. Not to mention the trackpad.

It's the handles. On the PS controller, they allow you to reach further in so to speak, compared to the xbox controller, which is a much larger single surface.
