Bastion and Transistor Before I had even started playing Bastion, I listened to the soundtrack dozens of times through. I had felt so connected to the game before even knowing what it really was. When I actually played through the game, hearing all of the level themes and character motifs was absolutely amazing. I decided to do the same with Transistor and had the same experience. Definitely recommend you guys try it out on a game that comes with the OST. Both NieR games and Drakengard 3 have amazing soundtracks, though Two's second theme is probably my favorite from the whole franchise atm. Furi and Hotline Miami both have great soundtracks as well. Hellblade's soundtrack is one of my favorites this year though. A lot more slower than those other ones, but it's great nonetheless. Guild Wars, Starbound
Red Dead Redemption, Payday 2, and Half-life 2 are my go to soundtracks.
It's hard to choose a favorite when things like Shadow of the Colossus, NieR: Automata, Persona 5 and more exist. But most impactful, the one that immediately pops into my head before any others when this question is asked and still has an impact on me over a decade later? Final Fantasy XI, zero questions.
In terms of things I actually listen to on a regular basis, Furi and Transistor are pretty high up there.

/what's also neat is that everything else about the game is amazing as well
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Sonic games usually have pretty great music.
No one here mentioned about XCOM 2. The game has awesome soundtracks as well.
deus ex human revolution. McCann has no rival.
Castlevania series got some nice soundtrack.
Destruction Derby 2 is an obscure game but they got some unsigned thrash metal bands to do their sountrack and it sounds so good. It's got this really muddy sounding mid-90s metal guitar tone that just hits the spot for me.
The Sky Odyssey soundtrack has managed to stay with me and my brother since the early 2000's.
The Lego Worlds Soundtrack by Rob Westwood with it's many different styles is one of my favorites:
Undertale.
All nostalgia aside, Payday 2 hands down. Simon Viklund is amazing. mmff~
