A game with 5 expansion packs is more expensive than just the game? That's preposterous!
None of those really change gunplay, they just add more inaccurate low damage weapons and Project Reality also makes it even dumber by making it so you have to wait like 5 seconds before firing just to reach that level of accuracy.
I find weapons in FH2 to be accurate, and high powered. Generally you can kill people with Bolt action rifles and MGs in one or two shots, and if you don't kill someone in one shot with a bolt action, they'll bleed out anyway. But yeah, I see your point. BF3 does do a better job of gunplay but it doesn't really appeal to me.

There's a thing called "opinions". And a map pack that's mostly rehashed low quality maps is not the same as an expanion with high quality, destructible maps with 8 new weapons and new gamemodes.
I serously regret having bought Battlefield 3. It just seems like they're doing everything they can to compete with Call of Duty.
I regret my friend buying it for me, I have about 20 hours of gameplay in a year of playing.
I don't like BF3 , i just don't like the map design at all. Trying BF2 again i found it more fun, but the Gunplay is terrible.
expansion
i think bf3 is missing the point of an expansion, an expansion is new factions, new maps, all new guns for the new factions, new vehicles, new gameplay mechanics.
destructible maps
let me shoot my tank rounds at this wall for ten minutes for the wall to disappear into thin air
8 new weapons
wow!!!!!!!111111 a whole 8 new weapons for 5 expanzions 2manyguns!!!!!!!!!112111

8 weapons in an expansion, learn to read

So most expansions for other Battlefield games weren't really expansions either? And those cost 30$, BF3's are 15$

Don't waste your time with him.
I'm going to go ahead and sum up the rest of the posts in this thread
1. People complain that BF is dying and this is a ripoff or whatever
2. Those people are proven wrong as soon as someone mentions the old BF expansions and how they had the same or less content for the same price or more
There you have it folks
I don't think BF3 is a rip off or dying, the thing that always made me laugh is it tried so fucking hard at the beginning to not be like CoD. All the trailers and most of it was making fun of CoD. Then they turn around with a premium service like CoD Elite. Though on the bright side the content is worth the price.
REALISM AND PRACTICALITY DOESNT MATTER IN VIDEOGAEMSE
It was a joke, in case you didn't notice :v:

maybe if cod actually needed destructible maps, reskinned guns, and rehashed gamemodes they would include those too.
Previous BF expansions had far more content, and a lower price. What the fuck are you talking about
The fuck, no they didn't, the previous expansions were like 30$ each.
I regret my friend buying it for me, I have about 20 hours of gameplay in a year of playing.
I have 8.
Premium is a good deal. You get the maps early and free dog tags. I don't understand why people still hate the premium deal. It's only a one time payment for all future DLC unlike COD elite
Battlefield 2: Special Forces Expansion Pack: 10-15$ on launch.
Battlefield 2 Booster Pack Collection (Euro Force & Armored Fury): 20-30$ on launch. Which is two DLCs both featuring shitloads of content, far more than any reskins offered for BF3 thus far.
Special Forces was 20$ at launch. 1942 expansions were all 30$ though.
-snop-
blah blah blah we want too be Call of Duty blah blah blah after we release our small DLC packs too these sheep lets just re create another small map pack for 10$ Activision can do it so we can too! ~EA
Except neither Activion or EA hasn't actually done that?
true, EA hasn't released it's little two DLC packets yet, but Activision ships it's own self brood shit spewed package the same way.

2142 right?
That was nice.
Premium is a good deal. You get the maps early and free dog tags. I don't understand why people still hate the premium deal. It's only a one time payment for all future DLC unlike COD elite
even if you stop paying for elite you get to keep all the shit you got from it so it basically is a one time payment.
I would have put in the BF3 ui but I was lazy
No, I'm pretty sure you didn't include it because you're a fucking moron or something. yeah, that sounds more reasonable. We get it, you don't like BF3, but holy fuck you are the most annoying person in the entire forum about it, you sperg off in every thread about it. We don't give a fuck, stop posting. The game is still pretty good considering the history DICE have for releases.

Each booster was $10 MSRP at Launch
Special Forces was $20

As for the shitloads of content part, let's compare.
BF2: Armored Fury
8 New Vehicles
3 New Maps
$10
Compared to
BF3: Armored Kill
6 New Vehicles
4 New Maps
New Gameplay Mode
5 New assignments and 20 new unlocks for Vehicles
$15 or $10 with Premium averaged out.
So no.
EDIT: oh hey look, that prediction on the first page was right.
