That video did wonders to restore my faith in the game Still though, the only thing that worries me is the depth there is in the actual level design. Part of what makes Hitman is the fact that each contract is almost like a puzzle - you need to figure out the best way to do what you want to do without you comprimising yourself or getting you dead. Or, even how to get to your target. This was always the real hard part and why being creative worked so well in beating the levels, because the most direct approach would either be hard to do, or almost impossible (i.e. in the Vinyard level in Blood Money your target was inside an estate bedroom, which was crawling with guards, with the rest of the level being a vineyard for the public to tour and such.. and this was the 2nd level! one of the best ways to to get in was to pretend you are apart of a tour group and stay with them - because any other way would get you looking suspicious to guards). None of the solutions were really spelled out for you, they just gave you means to do them and allowed all "ideas" you might have to work (such as, the tourist one I just mentioned). This video on the otherhand basically makes it as easy as literally picking up your sniper rifle and shooting the dude, and/or genreally he seemed pretty easy to just kill, being that you run into him the moment you start the level. It's still cool that the creative gameplay is in there, I just hope this is an early level or something meant to be easy - because creative gameplay is useless when it's really easy to be not creative. Blood Money was great partially because it MADE you be creative, and it was fun for it.

Low risk, fairly easy to get SA with. I'd say that this video restored my faith in the game, I was (and still am) annoyed by the exclusive retailer pre order DLC and the like, but it seems like we could have BM style missions and gameplay in this, so let's hope that it's a nice challenge, and doesn't give too much away. As for the picking up the sniper rifle and shooting the dude, you're able to do that on quite a few BM missions anyway, it's just that there's always a better way to do it.
The only thing I didn't like was the knife throwing and animations when wielding the knife. All that flipping and stuff. Looks too hong kong/hollywood-esque. But that's a minor thing I guess.
Knife throwing looked pretty much completely identical in Blood Money. And the lock-on was probably just because it was played on console.

Hopefully it will look better in the final release, but they still need to ditch those other knife animations. Like, when he goes to stab the dude he flips the knife a couple of times in his hand. Wtf
47 never talked that much, but when he did it was fucking badass. Batson just hit the spot. I am surely going to miss that a lot.
Just a reminder folks that Jesper Kyd was asked to do the music but declined. Bateson is another story, but don't blame IO for Jesper at least.
They make him audition twice for the part (he never had to audition for the previous sequels), toled him he got the part then later held more auditions and ignored him when he tried to contact them. Similar they ignored the original VA for diana.
Thats kind of dickish.
Just a reminder folks that Jesper Kyd was asked to do the music but declined. Bateson is another story, but don't blame IO for Jesper at least.
Aw. I wonder why he would do that.
Aw. I wonder why he would do that.
He was busy doing music for a movie.
I read it, but I just don't have faith in what's being portrayed. What I've seen is everyone worrying about it, them posting some 'stealthy' media, and when it comes out it will be much more action-focused than previous games.
What about the last mission in Silent Assassin where you go to the shed and can get an m60 and just mow everyone down.
WHen is this baby coming out?
November I think. I wouldn't be surprised if it got delayed to avoid CoD, though.
I can't remember now... Don't you hear 47's new VO in one of the trailers and it kinda sounds like Christian Bale?
What about the last mission in Silent Assassin where you go to the shed and can get an m60 and just mow everyone down.
Or how about the last "mission" in Blood Money where you are revived and mow everyone down.

[editline]1st June 2012[/editline] I probably should've wrote that in my first post, to not make it sound so naive. Oh well.
I played through the Heaven and Hell bdsm club mission on professional today, made it my goal to murder everyone with the M4 and silverballers. Pretty easy, even with the guards alert. Action's been possible on nearly all hitman levels since Hitman 2, barring a very few, it's just a bit awkward and feels unprofessional compared to playing through with stealth.
