Dont forget some heros that are really good junglers cant even jungle until around 30 will a full page of runes.
Amumu and Olaf come to mind, I am not sure if thats still how it is I haven't played in probably 2 years, I quit right before they added that rat thats in the robot who shoots missiles and shit.

They made the jungle easier for that exact reason, but before, low levels or people without the correct runes couldn't possibly jungle without going back every pull, making it the worst thing to do.
Almost anyone can jungle now. Well, anyone can, but most can make it at least semi-viable.

As Venn said, anyone can jungle now, I'll give you that. The problem is that there's a difference between barely jungling and clearing the jungle in half the time with full hp ganks.

No I know, my post wasn't in defense of runes or anything like that. I was just clarifying that they changed the jungle. I still think the whole runes system is imbalanced as fuck. GP5 rune page is probably the biggest example of bullshit I can think of, as someone pointed out.

But no, I wasn't attacking you, rather I was trying to clarify the point to people like Shoppiwoop who thinks that it comes down to skill.
It does not. It plays a big part, but in a 1v1 encounter 1 more hp could mean that you get to kill the other, you manage to escape or you can run away enough for them to chase you and get ganked, completely reverting the situation. Just because of runes. It's not fair, period, and part of the raeson I stopped playing.

except no one does this because it's pointless unless you're playing support. Even then it's better to take something like armor or mp5 runes

I agree that the IP prices are too high these days but to be fair, if you're reaching that level of play where runes are almost essential, you've probably already got enough IP for some runes.

yeah, of course you'll have enough for runes. But because of runes, you wont have enough for champions.
And both runes and champions cost way too much
