The equalizer helps with music.
kinda nice having an EQ for gaming stuff, I'll try it out with something that isn't music later tonight. Doesn't seem to be destroying music for me like people are saying, but it could be a matter of the music type and how it changes the sound. Vocals are notably distant/muffled at times but other stuff feels mildly richer. Give the Dance preset a try, helps stuff pop a bit without sounding wrecked
Games sound fantastic Music sounds asstastic

I disabled bass boosting and I think this sounds pretty nice
I didn't notice that much difference from the demo, although it seems to increase the bass of everything?
I didn't notice that much difference from the demo, although it seems to increase the bass of everything?
the demo is dumb as heck, just dl it and see for yourself
the demo is dumb as heck, just dl it and see for yourself
Will do, does it work with speakers?
so does the demo actually represent what this will give me? aka, the demo sounds like just an overhauled stereo clip (couldn't tell if something was supposed to be infront or behind me, just better feel of distance from left to right) but does the actual program work as promised?
Will do, does it work with speakers?
its for headphones only i think [editline]25th June 2013[/editline]
so does the demo actually represent what this will give me? aka, the demo sounds like just an overhauled stereo clip (couldn't tell if something was supposed to be infront or behind me, just better feel of distance from left to right) but does the actual program work as promised?
the demo is shit, just dl it and see for yourself. i find it works pretty well
The update manager is taking fucking forever.
Will do, does it work with speakers?
Headphones only from what I can tell
Alright, fine. This "little bitch" made an account, and I'm now waiting for the update manager to finish.
I did everything and it somehow fucked everything up on my computer, audio-wise. I now have to go back and fix everything. I would not recommend downloading this if you don't know what you're doing. [editline]25th June 2013[/editline] Mike Tyson, you seem to be the only one encouraging everyone to try this program in this thread with some real effort, and then rating dumb/dis-agree for anyone who has a problem with it. Care to put in your two cents? [editline]25th June 2013[/editline] Also, everything on this is being a bitch to be un-installed.

[editline]25th June 2013[/editline] for a free little thing its worth a shot [editline]25th June 2013[/editline] trust me im not part of razer™
I used this on Windows 7, which, has so far, given me problems with every little fucking thing since I bought this computer. My apologies if my previous post made it seem like it was the software's fault, when in reality, it was my computer's.
you should just reformat if its causing you that much grief!
I'm with Tyson on this. I have no issues at all. And my music seems to benefit from it. This is all I have enabled (aside from the Virtual 7.1 option), and the EQ is set to Rock.

What kind of issues are you having? Not implying it's your fault.
Surround's installed, but I still have to restart my laptop. Might as well do that now. [editline]25th June 2013[/editline] Wow. The sound quality's cleared up a lot, but there's some bass thumping going on. Help?
Go into the Settings and uncheck all options (I have the sound enhance option on though, like on the image on the previous page).
Do i still need this software when i have this preinstalled? :v:
How much CPU/RAM does it eat up?
Do i still need this software when i have this preinstalled? :v:
Try playing a game with and without it. It's free, so there's nothing really to lose. Find a source of sound (Waterfall in Skyrim, or perhaps water dripping.) and slowly turn your character around. Do this with and without, to see if there's a difference. For me (Realtek Drivers) I notice a difference. [editline]26th June 2013[/editline]
How much CPU/RAM does it eat up?
Minimal.

(Dolby sounds a tad better, using Realtek drivers too)
I got pretty lucky with this. The standard Dolby package on my laptop is garbage. This thing actually sounds great, but I keep getting chills down my back. Oh well. e: Oh WOW this sounds fantastic on my desktop speakers. Little pair of stereo speakers through the headphone jack. The scalar weapon in Bad Company 2 sounds absolutely terrifying now.
I got a problem with this. When I run it, there are no audio devices I can pick: There are no audio devices with names when I scroll up, and none of them work when I test them. The audio device from the program produces sound, but I can't hear it. Windows 8 x64, regular old 3.5" headphones powered by USB.
Still need an answer on this. Google has no results.
How much CPU/RAM does it eat up?
Tracker says 0% CPU and 4 MB RAM :v: Then again its not that accurate but i don't see a reason how this could have any heavy impact.
Alright, fine. This "little bitch" made an account, and I'm now waiting for the update manager to finish.
thanks for the update
How exactly is would it be 7.1? 7.1 implies that there's 7 speakers/channels of audio and one sub. Not to mention with headphones stereo would create a 3D effect simply by the delay of one sound on one ear to the other.
Obviously, it's not real 7.1, it says virtual in the title. I don't know about this particular software, but I know that the Dolby Headphone DSP can be fairly amazing. I assume it's a similar concept, in that you set the game and drivers to send 7.1 signals, and the filter downmixes it to 2.1 while keeping the positional information and uses Head-related Transfer Functions to trick your brain into hearing sounds from different directions. At the cost of a bit of reverb, most games get a holographic effect.
