Also, among other things, I hate how the characters look in multiplayer, they're all bright and matte looking, like their original textures have been covered in paint. They look like action figures and don't fit in with the lighting of the maps.

It looks too... futuristic, if that makes any sense. It doesn't look like it fits in with anything else the UNSC has ever done.
Halo 4 was my least favorite campaign but I liked the multiplayer much better than Reach. I honestly entirely disliked Reach multiplayer with it's lazy, bad forge maps and armorlock shit.
Actually, if I may plug in. "Learning experiences" are unacceptable in AAA development. Every Sergey Titov game was a "learning experience"

personally I was very happy with the gameplay, graphics, and level design; they just need to fire every single person connected to the story and get someone with writing skills beyond 5th grade average to pen the next one

My biggest beef with this game is how the multiplayer is ruined, i despise the CoD inspired kill streak system to call in weapons, vehicle play is just ruined.
