No Man's Sky has gone mold - Abandonware two months after release
No, you're waaaay off lol. How did you even come to that conclusion?
Oh, good then, still dumb that a game that no one has played yet gets awards and similar crap but that'll never go away :v:
If this was true MP with crafting (think Rust IN SPAC) it would be exciting
Or if there was any indication that there would be depth to the exploration and some overarching plot
But at the moment it looks like Singleplayer Rust in Space and that sounds like it would be fun for 3 hours
I think there's a lot of potential for them to expand the game after release.
I really don't see them just dropping it and not adding more features to the game after it comes out.
I really hope the game turns out to be an amazing 10/10 game... But everything they have shown us so far points towards the opposite.
they didn't show us anything so I mean
they didn't show us anything so I mean
Quite a lot has been shown, but what it'll be like to sit down and run through an actual play session in the live game (and not the same press demo system we've seen dozens of times), that hasn't been seen much yet, and that's where my concerns are.
If the game really turns out to be nothing but exploration, then jesus, who the fuck thought giving it a 60$ price tag was a good idea?
I refunded because I feel like it won't live up to my expectations and it was a dumb idea getting it after only watching a few videos.
Ok.

Looking forward to when this goes on sale, might be worth it then. But, not at a full 60 dollar price. Too big price tag for such a small project.
Judging from the footage shown (very limited and most of it scripted, which would be a huge red flag in itself) this always looked extremely dull and empty, with a lot of promised depth that's never really shown on camera. I can't tell if I'm missing something or everyone's just being oblivious because of the hype
11 of those are either unreleased or available on another system, specifically PS3.
The only actual released exclusives on that list are Alienation, Digimon Story, and Until Dawn. A shoot 'em up (with zero information on Wikipedia I might add), an anime RPG, and a spooky David-Cage-type game.
So unless you're shelling out hundreds of dollars for better graphics or one of these relatively niche games, that's a pretty shitty list if you're trying to convince someone that it's worth owning a PS4 atm
You forgot Uncharted 4 which is amazing unless you want to jump on the unwarranted bandwagon and pretend it's garbage.
And Until Dawn is more than a spooky "David Cage-type" game since it's actually well-written.

Ah right, I forgot to list U4 because he grouped it together with the remasters. So that brings the amount of non-remaster non-unreleased games on that list that I'd actually consider buying a PS4 for (if I didn't already own one) to one. Still not a great list.
But nah as far as Until Dawn goes. Gameplay wise, it's a david cage game. If you're not in it for the story (I mean to be fair David Cage games usually are good for the first while but then turn fucking stupid halfway through) you're not going to be finishing it because it's solely walking, talking, and motion controls where you're holding a DS4 still.
I hope you're not being serious.
" If you don't like the game you're just bandwagoning, you don't have the right for your own opinion about anything "
You're also calling Until Dawn well written when it falls apart faster than you can even get into the game. It basicly follows the Indigo Prophecy / Fahrenheit route of starting really interesting, then becoming just dumb
i thought until dawn was a fun horror romp and was a blast to play with my family voting over what happens next...
anyway anyone who expects more of this game than they have shown are dumb, it is what it is and they have never made it out to be more than that

It bothered me so much how they set Sam up to be the 'main' character and then had her take a bath for 4 hours because they couldn't figure out what to do with her. They make it out like the characters could die at any time but each character only has a couple of set points where they can die, which is especially evident for the half of the cast you only play 2 times.
anyway anyone who expects more of this game than they have shown are dumb, it is what it is and they have never made it out to be more than that
The key, though, is that the devs have claimed to avoid showing us a lot of the game because they wanted it to be a surprise.
This doesn't necessarily mean that there's some kind of awesome features that completely change the game (it's not suddenly going to turn into a HL2-like fps, I'm 99.999% confident), but the ambiguity of what hasn't yet been seen means fans are predisposed to speculate.
I have a feeling that Sony has made the devs show more than they wanted to as part of Sony's marketing blitz, but I would hope that Sony didn't make them show everything and that there's still something to discover. I'm not expecting some amazing reveal that would cause review scores to jump two points out of ten, but if what we've seen is truly all there is that could be bad news because it means it's basically Spaceship Minecraft and it's highly likely that it isn't moddable at all so it won't even be able to maintain the longevity Minecraft has enjoyed.
I want to love this game but I'm also waiting to hear reviews, because I'm playing the wait and see game.
luckily i enjoyed space engine, and very much wanted the ability to fly in a ship and get out and walk around on the planet as opposed to only being able to fly in first person view, so i know i'll get my money's worth out of it.
also, the naming system, why aren't you guys totally down with this? planet facepunch, c'mon.
I'm likening this to a more interactive Space Engine, and that suits me just fine.
I must say this game looks really beautiful and has some really nice designs for the planets. So I look really forward to this for that, but I will wait till the game goes on sale. Because I feel the game will not offer enough content for it's 60 USD price tag.

$60 interactive space engine is very slight amount of.. unacceptable
$60 interactive space engine is very slight amount of.. unacceptable
Yeah, if it weren't for people already knowing that. They've been pretty up front about what the game is, so it's people's fault if they think otherwise not the developer's.
Too much marketing for a indie game and then it just got overblown with hype and developers realized they could milk people for 60 dollars.
It's basically what just happened
-snip i'm a fucking idiot-
Why would you announce this? now less people are going to buy the game.
This is an industry standard to tell people that the game is completed. I mean it's been done for most triple AAA titles in the past year??
$60 interactive space engine is very slight amount of.. unacceptable
Well yeah no way I'm buying it for that price. Waiting for discount.

The f2p thing was later added by some mod who thinks they're funny
Brad from Giant Bomb saw a pre release build months ago, and he mentioned things I never thought would be in the game (I.e. npcs who speak different languages and thus you must figure out a way to communicate), so I'm hopeful they've just been very silent. I really hope its good, either way.
The f2p thing was later added by some mod who thinks they're funny
Well it will certainly drop its' price very quickly after it is a complete disappointment. Unless it sells well during launch which might also happen due to to the hype.

saw that in a gameplay video. ~9:40

has more features than i expected, but it still seems like the novelty will wear off within an hour. they did mention stuff like trading though, which seems cool. hopefully you can be a space pirate or something.

Too much PR overhyped it and they are trying to cashin on the hype.
Procedurally generated gameplay is not worth 60 dollars ever.

After a slight edit, I agree with you.

This has been shown publicly (i.e. IGN exclusive sneak peeks no doubt negotiated with Sony and foisted on Hello Games).
fuck ninja'd, but there's the video posted
