End of way feel? Can you clarify? IMO the game plays and feels pretty much exactly like any frostbite battlefield game.
whoops, typo. meant to say "end of war". You know, the open fighting that categorized the end of the war.
Who cares? Not every game needs to be realistic lmao
And if you're expecting realism from a Battlefield game clearly you never played one before
At least the previous Battlefield games looked the part. BF4 was supposed to be near-future and it looks like it. Battlefield 2 was supposed to be 2007 and it looked like it. Even the Bad Company games which were mostly fictional looked like a modern war, they didn't have any crazy prototypes or super-tanks that BF1 has.
Also for a WW1 game they really dropped the ball and didn't add a bunch of iconic guns but instead added shit like the fucking Hellriegel which no one knows anything about. Why make a WW1 game if you're just going to cram it full of prototype shit in order to make the game you want to? It's like making a WW2 game but giving everyone access to assault rifles like the EM-2 prototypes.. If you're making your game fit into a certain timeframe and it doesn't fit into the gameplay don't put it in that timeframe.
Battlefield 1 is a WW1 game in marketing only and I was expecting them to go back to their roots but it's just a big fat disappointment. Christ, even the new CoD game actually seems to be taking a risk with a proper WW2 game, not just a modern warfare game crammed into a historical setting.
How exactly does BF1 not look the part.
And what "iconic guns" did they not add perchance? The only one I can think of (aside from heavy MG's) off the top of my head is the Ross Rifle, but that had been discarded by Canadians in favor of the SMLE anyway.
women terrify me why'd they have to go make it a horror game
Dead space 4 dlc

M1917 Enfield, Kar98az, Gewehr 88, a bunch of french guns because they were just a dlc among other things. Also the stick grenade is one from the 20s, how do you fuck that up?
The G88 was not a frontline weapon for Germany post 1915 (with the G98 being the primary frontline rifle), with surplus weapons being given to Austria and Turkey as both had arms shortages. However, the main frontline rifle for Austria was the Mannlicher M1895.
The Kar98az I'll give you, as that was the Strosstruppen's main weapon towards the end of the war. Same with the 1917 Enfield, hadn't even thought of that.
That being said however, with DICE's design philosophy I really doubt they wanted to flood the Scout with even more weapons, I think their goal was roughly the same amount of weapons per class.

also your grenades
tell me which model is which, without googling at all

Easy, the ones with the little tabs on the grenade are the World War 1 ones.

They have the martini henry in the game though. It isn't just rifles either, the game lacks iconic guns like the Ruby. Also their revolver lineup is dismal.
-nvm i realize now you meant the belt clip-. I haven't looked closely at the BF1 model, mainly cuz its there and then gone so idk if that's on it :v:
Actually yea I hadn't even thought of the Martini-Henri - but for that I think was an attempt to give various playstyles to each of the rifles (one of the reasons behind the entire "sweet spot" mechanic they have now with rifles tbh). I don't know entirely what DICE's mindset is behind choosing certain weapons vs others, but if I were to venture a guess it would have to do with an attempt at having various different playstyles available and not being too redundant with the weapon choices. Though I am surprised they didn't add the Ruby with TSNP.
I really liked BF1 beta but honestly it's more of an investment buying the game, I feel like I've got to get that season pass DLC to get to the active servers and such.
You don't. Vailla servers are constantly full.
