Nothing.
You're a winner!
I'll propably buy this when I've become way better at 1.6
Wow. What do I win?
Fucking nothing!
While I can't say I have any interest in this game, I'm really glad to see Valve pricing it at $15. I can't be the only one that thinks that $60 for a video game is completely outrageous.
You motherfucker.
What? I said you won, and your prize is that you won nothing!
A debit card is equally as easy.
Yeah I actually find it way easier.
If I ever get money into my Paypal I immediately transfer it to my bank account so I can use my debit card.
You're still a motherfucker.
Easy now. Let me give you a hug. *Hugs usaokay*
Will probably buy this game just for all the potential mods that could come from this updated SDK.
Looking forward to it!
As for GO itself, Doesn't matter how fresh the graphics are, dated game = dated game. Not saying it isn't still fun and competitive though.
My Beta impressions:
Felt like a little content patch with some streamlining for casual players and graphical overhaul on top. Gameplay is still depending very much on reflexive aim, most of the "skill" comes from map knowledge and spray pattern memorization. If you aren't stupid and run head-first into enemy territory, the game will resolve around ambushes, and a proper ambusher will usually get his quick kill. There's also no metagame, but the shop system is IMO fairer than leveling systems + RPG elements or killstreaks - and it keeps people from complaining about microtransactions, because everyone is supposed to have the same loadout options to ensure fair skill rewards.
Gamemode-wise you got tdm, ctf (rescue hostages), cp (plant bomb) and the newly integrated gungame. The latter is a fun little twist on tdm for a few rounds, but lacked the creativity to add any serious replay value for me. But it's probably a nice mode for those priding themselves on killstreaks and kills with bad weapons, because that's exactly what this mode supports.
There's no interesting backdrop to the game, no charm or characters to speak of, no atmosphere or sense of impact to anything going on, and there's nothing special about the gunplay. I also heard some CS1.6/CSS hardcore fans complain about the silliest little things although it was designed with competitive gaming in mind from the start. Personally I spent quite some hours in CSS, but mainly because of its mods like the Surf or Zombie ones - which weren't officially adopted by Valve.
Overall this just reeks of stagnation to me who doesn't care much for the graphical overhaul and finds the other little polish changes insignificant. CSS still benefits from doing some core mechanics right (like no regen health or silly ironsighting), but overall I think shooters have moved on. It's a solid, but bland modern military multiplayer FPS to me. If you really aren't sick of these yet, you can do so much worse with 15 bucks.
P.S.
Personally I think this is just an experiment on Valve's part to see if microtransactions really are the way to go. Both CS and DOTA were developed with a competitive scene in mind (both of which are big) and their new released are basically just streamlined versions with graphical overhauls. CS benefits from Valve's FPS expertise and gets a small price, DOTA2 benefits from the current boom of the MOBA genre and gets microtransactions + Steam Workshop. It's kinda old business model VS new business model I think.
If there's jailbreak I'm getting it.
Holy shit, I had no idea about the price. I honestly wasn't planning on buying it because I'm not a huge CS fan, but at that price I see no reason not to.
And is there any reason why punching in a few numbers is so hard?
That is not a reason why someone would not have a choice but to use PayPal.
They may, unfortunately, not have a choice but to use paypal.
This. It allows me to easily and instantly pay using money in my bank account.
And is there any reason why punching in a few numbers is so hard?
What do you mean?
If there's jailbreak I'm getting it.
Mods tools are on the way so yeah jailbreak is sure to get ported over.
That is not a reason why someone would not have a choice but to use PayPal.
well for example I could go and do this huge ass slow and inefficient process to go and put money into my credit card when I give my money to someone and they put it into the card
OR I go and use one of these brilliant little machines we have around where I insert some money and it instantly appears in my paypal
The Beta is great but honestly, i don't like it to much. Something seems just "off".
i love the beta so ill get it
thats a bag of chips man
A BAG OF CHIPS? A bag of chips is like 2,5€ here
I didnt see anything about the movement or post-processing which is kind of lame.
Especially the movement.

I hope they don't use that Scaleform main menu crap in the retail release.
It took forever to navigate them, and they're so slow :v:
Only one bag? In Poland it would be like 4 or 5 of them (I know because I live there).
One big bag, Lays are fucking expensive man and they always give you half of these in a big bag. Shit's annoying. But yeah we could get like 5 small bags of chips.
CS:GO beta was fun, and I'll be sure to buy the game when I'll be able to. Game itself feels like it's easier to get into than CS 1.6 or CS:S. I bought those games hoping I would be enjoying them but sadly, my face was wiped against the floor. I was biting the dust every game. I was playing mods, but it eventually got boring. After playing CS:GO beta I feel so, so, so much better. I don't know if it's me but I think in CS:GO I was seriously playing better than previous games. This is so getting my buy when I'll get the money.
(This post was only supposed to be about chips but since this is a CS:GO thread I had to write something. :v:)

Paypal seems to work again.
Prepurchased for 12.59 €
Really tempted to get this but haven't played beta.
Any idea if you get beta access for the week if you preorder?
