How can people live with mice that have such huge arches like this monstrosity?

Doesn't look too left handed friendly.
Doesn't look too left handed friendly.
It's not, but most people use their right hand for mice anyway (I mean I use my right hand for my mouse and I'm left handed). Obviously you'd just avoid that mouse if you use your left hand for the mouse.
I don't know what the fuss is about mouses and stuff. I'd rather use money like that for hardware. I mean this is what I use and I've run into no problems whatsoever.

My G502's mousewheel is getting more and more rusty (literally) every day. And it's picking up dirt between all those edges. Can't recommend that mouse for sure.

Love this thing.
RGB lights too 'cause why not

That's how they field test it. A few handgun rounds to the mouse, then they send it off for consumer use.
Move over for the objectively best mouse

If your mouse doesn't look like a transformer, you're doing it wrong.

Honestly, the frictionless scrolling with the switch alone makes it worth the price, its only downside is the abysmal battery life, or having to suffer using the stiffest charging cable in existence.

It's funny because those are way more comfortable than they look.

Well they can also have far superior sensors. That's a big part, one this article doesn't really touch on.

For my G700s, I've put a new Eneloop X thing in it and charge it with the (now otherwise obsolete, "thanks" Oneplus) phone charger. However, after having soda spilled on it and two years of use, the fastscroll mode is hardly frictionless.
Other than that, absolutely worth it
Is it worth the additional 50€ / $ tho?
All depends on how serious you want to take it I guess.
Gotta love my Deathadder.

Holy shit I thought Logitech only put the scroll wheel side clicks on their other mice, not their gaming series. This is really nice since I use the scroll wheel side clicks all the time to navigate web pages, etc. lol.

Generally speaking gaming mice have a polling rate (the rate at which the mouse transfers movement data to the pc) of 500hz to 1000hz (the diffarence in accuracy above 500hz is not that much) and most normal run of the mill mices work on 125hz and 250hz.Try playing a fps game with a 125hz mouse and then a 500-1000hz mouse , you will feel the huge improvement in accuracy.
Gaming mice have better and more durable switches and generally clicking with a gaming mouse is really fucking fast and satisfying , imaging typing on a regular old ass keyboard then switching to a good mechanical one.
Gaming mice also have good feet (the thing under the mouse which make it glide smoother) which also makes aiming fps games better and easier , combine a good gaming mouse with a good mousepad and fps games on a high stable fps feel amasing (provided there is no mouse acceleration or filtering).
If we are all going to talk about our favourite mice, mine would have to be the Sensei Wireless.

Unlike some of the other mice I tried, this has some pretty sweet features and ergonomics.
It also grants me the accuracy I am searching for.

Superior sensors isn't just greater DPI ranges (higher and lower, the flexibility is what you're paying for) but quality of life features like surface sensitivity control (which can also include surface range sensitivity, so the mouse will not move when you pick it up from the surface; critically essential for using low DPI aiming to snap headshots off, Counter Strike being the most famous example of low DPI play) and trackball emulation and all the smaller bells and whistles each brand offers. They're worth the mouse weight in gold if you're going to be doing any kind of serious gaming on the PC.
I use gaming mice for business too. Moving my cursor across the screen with a twitch of the mouse is much more time efficient and, more importantly, results in less time spent abusing my wrist. They're good for just everyday computer use.
Gaming mice are just normal mice that do everything better. Even simple lifespan is much higher despite the tendency to be used more often than standard mice. Typically the higher end models will have many, many more millions of "clicks" per button than throw away mice -- mine for example is supposed to be good for about 20 million clicks (considering my last gaming mouse was good for around 2 million and I got almost 5 years of daily use from it, that's a decent investment).
If you really can't think of any situation in which an objectively better mouse would be beneficial then you're not the target audience.

These are too big for my tiny hands unfortunately. I've used one of these for about two months now and I love it:

Fairly cheap, too (You can change the color and, fortunately, turn off the lighting completely)

It's a normal mouse that does everything better that isn't a "gaming" mouse, rather it's marketed as a "professional mouse for professionals".

So, a better mouse? :v:
I'm so used to having my push-to-talk bind set to a button on my mouse, I can't tolerate a mouse with no extra buttons anymore.

The MX Master is genuinely the greatest mouse I've ever used. The features on it are so useful for work, especially the friction-less wheel.
