Why Smash Bros for Wii U won't support GamePad features

Aww. They could have done some cool stuff with it. Like, a gamemode where one player just puts crap like items, platforms, or enemies onto the map to screw with people.
Or a map where you draw in the terrain similar in style to the one from SSBB.

What
the wii u pro controller looks fine, but why is the right analog stick above the face buttons
consistency with the gamepad
What
"wont" is used correctly there.
What
"Wont" and "Won't" are two different things entirely.
Aw, I was really hoping they'd let a fifth player control map features or spawn items or something. Something like in the new mario games.
whenever I am reminded final smashes exist, I am saddened.
They better not having fuckin three fox clones all with the same final smash

That always did make me wonder how lazy they got with Falco and Wolf. Nothing ever implied that Wolf's team had a Landmaster equivalent, but Falco?
PERSONALLY, I PREFER THE AIR
Just having an Arwing drop a bomb on the stage would've been better than yet another Landmaster. :v:
You can't use gamecube controllers with the Wii U, sadly. But I plan to pick up an adapter that will allow me to, because I refuse to play Smash Bros without one.
standalone wiimote best controller
probably going to use the same thing for wii u unless it's not allowed or if i prefer pro controller.
If the gamepad were to have any functionality for the New Super Smash Bros, I think it should just act as a spectator for the match where you could move the camera around on your own gamepad screen and take pictures without disrupting the gameplay, similar to how you can change the camera in the replays in Brawl. Pausing would be problem, but that can be fixed by removing the pausing function on the gamepad or just not have it pause the match for everyone else playing the game so that it can't be abused.
This would cut the Wii U's performance in half
