I swear there arn't any hit markers....I LIKE MY HIT MARKERS :3
Holy shit, the knifing looks even more bad ass. My favorite part about bad company 2 is everything you do is awesome in some way and it looks like BF3 is the perfect mix between BF2 and BFBC2.
I think you guys are forgeting about the jets, vehicle gameplay and the fucking Gulf of Oman.
Reimu. It's an FPS based on Modern Warfare... What do you honestly expect?
Well, as I've said in most of the other discussions about Battlefield, not much.

Gulf of Oman and Jets perk my interest.
But only so much

What on earth are you talking about?
I'm still hesitant to buy this, and the whole Origin thing is really feeling like a put-off.
I am confused, how exactly is bad company 2 that different from Battlefield 2, other than the way groups and commander works? Sure the bloom is freaking annoying, but if they remove that and include big maps with good networking, then I can't see the problem?
To be fair, the gameplay won't radically change in conquest, it's going to be the same only with big maps.
It depends on if it's BF2 style or Bad-company style.
Game's gonna be fuckin awesome.
It seems fun, but honestly I'm not seeing that much Battlefield and more Bad Company
Explain. I'm actually curious of the game breaking turnoffs that keep it from being "battlefield." Maybe because this is just the infantry battle action?
A bit more fast paced yeah, that and a 2005 - 2011 graphical transition :v:

The game play in general is completely different, its like saying Bf 1942 is exactly like bf1943. Sure they are based same concept same company but COMPLETELY different gameplay styles.
BC2 is more fast paced infantry based combat with big clunky guns and controls with tight maps. Its movement is so chunky and heavy it feels like i'm a 800 pound gorilla sliding on ice. While bf2s movement is like walking a tightrope with very sensitive and precise control
Bf2 is a more large map oriented vehicle based combat with very precise controls and movement.
Such a bad map to show to people.
Though I suppose it means they dont have to have all the finished vehicles ready.

Controls feel about the same for me.
fyi who cares
replied to the wrong post, heh
The sound is the best thing about it. I've only heard such good ambience in BC2 so far.
The gameplay looks like a thing between BF2 and BC2, which I think is a very good thing. With that they can bring the BF2 players and the BC2 players together.
All in all, instabuy. I already preordered actually :v:
Everyone complains that it looks like BC2, forgetting that the infantry combat in BF2 was shit. There's a reason everyone went for vehicles as soon as they spawned.
I'm just a tad worried about the unnecessary amounts of bloom, the one thing that bothers me about Bad Company 2. I at least want the option to turn it off this time around if it does make a return.

Maybe you never played the battlefield series before bf2 but battlefield IS about vehicles. Just look at bf1942 You could drive the aircraft carrier and all the ships and the submarine along with gobs of ground vehicles and air vehicles. Battlefield without focus on vehicles is just Call of Duty United offense.
Thread is full of haters.

Sorry for not wanting a large portion of the game to be shit because some people prefer vehicles. Last I checked Battlefield was about showing ALL elements of a battle.

Oh the irony on the knifing.
Everyone hated the way it was in AvP, yet when it's put exactly the same in a game like this, everyone thinks it's great and innovating.

I've seen people complain about it for BF3 too. It may be shit, but that still doesn't keep it from looking bad ass.

God it took a while to get used to the amount of dust in BC2. That shit was awful until then.

Battlefield: Bad Visibility 2
"Every map is in the middle of a sandstorm. Even the snow maps!"
All that has been shown is one level of one gamemode, why are people drawing these dumb conclusions.
Because without mod tools what we see in that video is what we're going to be playing over and over and over and over and over and over again
One map and one game mode ends up being like 5% of the entire game

You could turn it off in BC2 via the config.

Yeah, I noticed in the initial footage that it was way too bright, but later when the music starts and there is a recap of all the good moments, the bloom is not nearly as bad. I blame compression messing with brightness.
I love BF3 news thread, same people whining. Literally the same users that were in the other BF3 news thread who were bitching about BF3 being "generic, boring, BC2". Whatever...
Why are people complaining about the lack of vehicles in rush? It's, you know, the smaller, infantry based mode...
I also love the knifing. You can't pull a knife out of nowhere, and it's not as easy to go on a super stabbing spree. The animations are great too.
Something more like Bad Company 2 on BF2's size/scale is actually what I want from this game.
BF2 was okay but it was annoying more often than it was fun because of the clunky and exploitable gameplay.
Wtf is bad company gettin so much shit from you guys, it is my favourite of all the Battlefields(well 1943 is pretty awesome and simplsitic)
Bad Company is a brilliant game, so what the fuck is the problem? Is it because the pc version sucks ass r sumthin?

Elitists expecting the sequel to play like a game from 2005
