I saw gameplay videos of Homefront. http://youtube.com/watch?v=VaZpmRkojTk Was my reaction.
Homefront was a disaster and tacking on a sequel where it's not needed or wanted for the "brand recognition" really annoys me. As a rule of thumb it would be better in every way if we only made sequels for games that actually have a story to continue. I think the day I first heard a sequence of games referred to as a franchise I died a little inside.
I actually loved the Homefront multiplayer. All it needed was a better engine and a little bit of polishing and it would've been fantastic. That or Call of Duty written on the box.
I disappointed it did not go further than the Chicago bridge(?). I expected a full-blown game, all I got was a cliff hanger of disappointment :colbert:
The MP gameplay is pure dogshit. Apply basic FPS knowledge and you win. Use cover and concealment and fire in short bursts.
homefront 1 blew why would anyone care about a sequel
Potential TF2 hats?
It's disappointing how bad Homefront was, I really wanted it to be the next battlefield
I feel like a fool for buying the first. It was so bad, but could have been so great.
3 AND A HALF HOUR CAMPAIGN CONSISTING OF FOLLOW ONE BUTT MUNCH AND KICKING DOORS IN
I'll KILL YOU DEVS, I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU THQ.
caps and h2 gets you noticed
caps and h2 gets you noticed
I'm sorry but this game infuriated me so much. I have NEVER finished a game that made me this enraged. Even MW2 wasn't this short, and I beat that in 4 hours on Veteran. I was seriously less infuriated with MW2. At least the MP in CoD is somewhat enjoyable. Homefront's is just painful. Even for $25 from the weekend deal. I'm so pissed.
pfft I paid £25 for it how do you think I feel
I think the game needed more dinosaurs

It would have sold well if it had CoD in the title and was still the same exact game.

And I got MW2 as a gift, so that could explain why I wasn't so pissed off. I can't see why anyone ever got hyped up for this game. Lame premise (invasion of USA? seriously try to be original), generic FPS gameplay. It had nothing going for it.

I bought Homefront when it was on sale during the weekend and enjoyed it so I plan on getting the sequel.

I know, I can't either.
