oh..well thats a bit of light for them then
No, but in a weird turn of events it seems that Platinum Games is interested in hiring some of the team and buying the Darksiders IP.
Holy. Shit. The weirdest turn of events.
Wait Holy shit Crytec got Homefront Awesome
Who the hell is Koch Media? Have they done anything good?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Silver#Deep_Silver
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Silver#Deep_Silver
Yeah, a bunch of mediocre games for the most part. It doesn't look good for Metro or Saints Row.
Yeah, a bunch of mediocre games for the most part. It doesn't look good for Metro or Saints Row.
Volition and A4 will still be developing their games, they just have a new parent company. And Deep Silver has made many quality games
Yeah, a bunch of mediocre games for the most part. It doesn't look good for Metro or Saints Row.
Risen is an fantastic RPG experience, FYI. It just doesn't look like much. Their library doesn't look that bad either, could be much worse.
They published dead island and stalker clear sky as deep silver, and i dont think its pronounced the way you think.
That means they have the ability to make Red Faction, Saints Row, AND Metro games now? Well, fuck. RIP in peace
Volition and A4 will still be developing their games, they just have a new parent company. And Deep Silver has made many quality games
Risen was an okay game, Risen 2 was far from quality and Dead Island was extremely far from quality. STALKER Clear Sky was regarded as the worst STALKER game in the series, Emergency 2012 was a mess. I see very little quality, but we shall see. Publishers do have a hand in development, usually by rushing games or trying to make design decisions they shouldn't.
-i can't-
I'm glad Sega got Relic, it could of been a lot worse. Apparently they didn't get Homeworld though, so it looks like that is completely gone forever.
Source, please?
Koch Media? They sure have been in the news lately. :v:
No, but in a weird turn of events it seems that Platinum Games is interested in hiring some of the team and buying the Darksiders IP.
That would be amazing.
That was a pretty moving post, sad to see they didn't get to keep going.
Not really. Cureton is a collosal ass who was pretty much booted out of namco for being a colossal ass. The rest of the team had some great people and true talents, he wasn't one of them.
I didn't think anyone would have "agreed" to take Homefront even if you payed them.
Crytek was already working on a sequel when this happened, it would probably cost them more in lost time and resources to have to halt now than it did to buy the franchise. Homefront may have mostly sucked, but I really think it had potential and Crytek may be able to bring that out.
Ubisoft agreed to purchase Montreal and South Park
I thought they said they didn't have the rights to sell that game
I thought they said they didn't have the rights to sell that game
I think it was more that South Park Studios wanted final say on who South Park would go to. Anyway, I am pretty fucking sad Vigil didn't get bought.

Why all the Dead island hate? It had it's problems but it was a very fun game with friends.
Source, please?
Lots of people on Neogaf have said it was just Company of Heroes and Relic sold to Sega - studios were only sold with a game that was currently in development, with the rest of the IPs such as Homeworld being kept by THQ as their "Legacy IPs".
No, Company of Heroes.
Ah I see. Not sure why I was rated dumb, it was a genuine question, I had no idea if they were in charge of Metro or not because I very vaguely remember seeing a Metro splash with "Relic entertainment" written on it.
It's pains me to see THQ go like this. :c
