Steam Summer Sale 2013 hinted at as Steam Trading Cards leave beta - Sensationalist Headlines

When I heard about trading cards I immediately thought of the upcoming sale and sold as many as I possibly could to net £50 in steam wallet profit. On top of that I get paid on the 26th.

I would love to have prizes back for the steam sales.

This will be my first summer sale since I got my job. For the first time, my wallet will truly be ready.

And than I wasted all my money.

The trading card stuff makes your actual steam profile layout look like utter shit, so I don't want the trading card stuff. Sale is good though.

Can someone explain how ""making trading cards available to all Steam users is a step towards an event we think everyone can be excited about" hints at the sale? The way it's worded implies it's something specifically to do with the cards, or something that at least depends on them being available. That doesn't hit at the sale to me.

Trading cards are good because I sold a bunch and a few TF2 items for a sweet $6.11. I can get a full 2 games with that!

Yay I finally have a job so I can buy oodles of games, but I don't get a full paycheck for another 2 weeks. This past one was small because of when I started and the cutoff date for counted hours.

I don't even understand how you get trading cards Signed up for beta, never got any, and all the "compatable games" I've already played to death. I assume its like items in TF2 where you just get them randomly as you play, so you have to play compatable games a whole bunch during the beta period and hope you get some?

Shit I wasted all my money on tours and food. Oh well maybe in the winter sale.

I got 3 HL2 cards for playing for just 2 hours and 2 TF2 cards for playing around 1 hour.

Awesome, just got a raise. My wallet may not become so broke this time.

I'm actually sad it has to come this early. I have literally next to no money. I've paid all i can in my electric and house bills, my entire check going to my parents to cover the cable, which at the moment is only my internet.

Its a good thing my wallet can back me up this time. A full time paid internship is pretty sweet.
