Here we go again! :v:
heehee
PS3 exclusivity wasn't really the best idea for this game, either. It would've done so much better if every capsuleer had a DUST alt.
Want to like this but it is one terrible game in its current state. Glad they're keeping it beta for longer because the frame rate is terrible, controls terrible and plays terrible right now. Hope something can come out of it because it almost isn't playable IMO.
Agree so much I had such high hopes for this game, but so far its really letting me down. Its NOTHING like the early dev posts said it was going to be. They touted all these awesome features and how it was going to be as in depth and complex as EVE was with logistics and EWAR and such, and it turns out to be extremely generic. Im in the beta, but Im not going to touch it until it releases in hopes that it turns around by that time.
who had the initiative to go and do stuff
This is the inherent problem with games like Eve online for the average consumer, though. To many people video games must be mindless fun. I used to be able to "take initiative" and play MMOs but I just can't afford to waste my time like that as I get older.
This game is really, really, really bad. It plays like shit and there's nothing really special about it, plus the controls are complete ass. I had thought the CoD control scheme had become standard for FPS games anymore, but the designer for the controls in this must have been on acid or something. Good concept but I could hardly stand playing more than a round or two.
Plus you need a fucking degree in astro physics and weapon architecture to navigate the menu systems and upgrade your guns.
I dunno if they've changed any of the interface but it's fucking daunting for someone who hasn't played EVE before. I can imagine people being like what the fuck when they see all that shop and upgrade shit, they'd be like what the fuck skills??? I hope they get the message cause they have all the fucking time and money, they could kick this back into the goddamn womb and fucking rethink everything.
I've got a destroyer ready for the dustbunnies. Hell, I might be able to train something a bit more destructive, considering how much time I have until release.
you have a full year so you can probably increase ur damage output from 210% to 215%
Not really sure I'm happy about the way the game is going. I was excited for it, until I got into the closed beta. Unfortunately the game looks like shit because it runs on console (which isn't really a problem, it's just it could look really nice). I'd be more excited for it if it was coming out on PC, but I'm still iffy on the whole skills thing. Surely all it means is that someone who has been playing longer has an actual advantage over newer players aside from actual playing experience.
