Of course it has to be 4v4..
I agree with Dizzeh God I hated waiting like 15 minutes to find a server only to find like 2 people in it
I still have buyers remorse over the most recent AVP. Since they stopped this to work on and release that pile of shit, I'm really hoping this ends up as good as it looks.
Disappointed it's only 4vs4. AvP2 had what, 16 players max?, and it worked just fine.
AvP2's 4v4v4v4 was pretty god damn amazing, it was fun and lasted hours.

AVP was developed by Rebellion whilst this is made by Gearbox. Unless you're talking about Sega, of course. I played some of this at Rezzed a few months back and it was by far my favourite game at the show. Even though we were just playing TDM, the team dynamics worked really well. When you're playing as the Marines, you have to stick together and watch each others backs otherwise you're going to get raped. Likewise as the Xenomorphs, you have to organise your team to make sure you spread out and attack at the same time to be most effective. Really can't to play more.
Reminds me of the old escape game mode from AVP2.
This looks really fucking cool, and I'm definitely getting it, but I hate the fact that, unless you have friends to play with, actual gameplay is never like the trailers.
I hope they just bring in some kind of life-cycle mode like AVP2 had.
I don't think they are implying its a rip off, just comparing it to a well known example of something.
Which gives people the idea it's ripping off something. There's a reason we shouldn't just compare games to others as a way of explaining what they are, it gives people totally the wrong idea half the time.
I hope they just bring in some kind of life-cycle mode like AVP2 had.
I recall I was the only predator in one of those DTM life cycle/exosuit servers. Within minutes the alien team always facehugged me much to the marine team's annoyance of full teams of predaliens
I understand that it's to be as similar to the movie as possible, and it's quite an iconic part, but I can't stand the noise the gun makes. I just find it unpleasant to listen to. Not that it stops me wanting the game or anything.
Personally I like it. I believe if it was any other weapon sound it wouldn't fit into the game properly.
