You know, after the deluge of modern, grayscale, chest-high-wall, terrorist-shooting games that have come out in the last several years, I would actually enjoy a compelling WWII shooter. Add plenty of detail (down to the Nazi documents and the French wine), some likeable characters, a few awesome vistas, and perhaps - just maybe - add some more exclusive battles, rather than the Normandy landings over and over again. Make the singleplayer an enjoyable experience and a substantial part of the game, not shorten it to a few hours and fill in the gap with multiplayer. If WWII isn't wanted, maybe the First World War, although I'm not sure it would be terribly exciting. Vietnam would be pretty neat, or the Korean War. I don't believe I've ever seen a popular game (or any game, for that matter) set during those days.

No word of story and the few screens that are out don't really show too much. They haven't said about Multiplayer or anything yet unfortunately.
I don't recall a single WW2 FPS game where you play as a Nazi (no, multiplayer does not count). Maybe because shooting the good guys would create a public outrage? I remember such situation when MOH 2010 was released.
It's because it's the same shit over and over, fucking do a innovative game. God do something like fucking Battlefield 2142, or some shit in the future. It's not hard too design balanced weapons with future shit, my god. I swear developers have no brain at all. I wish I knew anything about modelling, animations, coding, or anything valuable towards gaming, too try and do something with maybe a small team, but it never will happen.
The people with the money dictate the setting based on their precious 'market research'. Most game developers can be quite creative if their boss would let them.
Maybe because of this: [t]http://cdn-www.cracked.com/articleimages/randall/fps5.jpg[/t]
A WWII shooter on the frostbite 2 engine would be amazing.
i kinda liked the original's sp just for the nice ending and the varied locale [editline]31st July 2012[/editline] this is literally going to be cod with a better sp, and a more unoptimized engine and the mp is probably going to die in <3 weeks
Nice ending? It was dogshit and ended right in the middle of the story, when it ended I seriously just thought where's the other half of the game.
I'm certain they have this planned. Heck, Battlefield 4 might end up being that.
EA and DICE (although, it likely wouldn't be so much their fault as EA's) would be completely retarded not to make BF4 either in 2143 or 1944.
I was not excited in anyway about MOH and neither am I for this game. I can't express the amount of non-interest I feel for it.

Everyone's calling for WWII or 2143 setting, but is that really that much more original? Although a completely new setting is unlikely, because with the amount of money involved in development, they're going to play it safe.
this is a good thing maybe now devs will take notice and stop going into shitty trends for games
I think anyone could of told them this.
