lol no it's pretty easy tbh
Ever had people call your parents and harass them because they didn't like your video or you didn't like a game they liked? That happened a few years ago, people found info for my family and started bugging us. So it varies, you might not draw the audience that would do it, but this is also another small reason why I moved from minecraft. I just don't like the community outside of some of my cinematics.
well that's your fault for mentioning your info somewhere
Yes it's totally not the fault of the person who actively chose to harass them.
well that's your fault for mentioning your info somewhere
You don't have to mention anything. People will find the information. I don't bring my family really into anything I do online outside of "Yes, I have parents" I found out later that they knew what car I drove, knew what city I was in, referenced a license site or something to crossreferenced and then looked up on a tax info site who had similar last names to me living in my city, They then figured it out by crossreferencing the information. it's not that difficult, and you don't need to specifically make some information public for it to happen.
well that's your fault for mentioning your info somewhere
apparently the amount of "thick skin" you have is so much, it makes you real dense
I always assumed that the ignorant and foolish talking shit about your creations was a part of being a great artist. If you aren't able to handle the spotlight, both the good and the bad, that comes with fame then it's probably for the best to leave to save your sanity. He made the right call.
yeah, such as "run crying to your mom every time you see negative commentary about your work" seriously what the fuck? how do you people function in real life? are you so sheltered everything's daisies and shit around you?
you're really good at misunderstanding things people aren't saying that if you get negative criticism you should start screaming and crying and removing all your work from the internet they're saying that if somebody insults you and sends threats to you every day, it does get to you. I haven't experienced this and I sure as hell know you haven't experienced it, but the very fact that people complain about it probably means that it's not just some dumb thing that's easy to ignore. somebody mentioned earlier on in this thread that the stress of being a public figure effected totalbiscutis health, do you think he should just grow a thick skin and ignore the insults he gets every day? I'm sure that's a new idea for him that he's never tried before.

I doubt that very much
They got all that from your nickname or the city you live in? I doubt that very much
They looked at my posting history on various forums.
Why do people never listen to this advice Anyone who says otherwise just gives more weight and credit to the people who are 'bullying/insulting' other people online. The less attention you give them the happier you'll be, simple as that. Just do your thing and take it easy, it's not hard.
I used to read YouTube comments and call people out on their stupid bullshit. After awhile, I just realized I was fighting a hopeless war and I was losing, so I enabled YouTube Feather, and it was the best day of my life (up until I just downloaded YouTube Center and turned the Lights-Off mode's opacity to 100%) [editline]1st August 2014[/editline]
They got all that from your nickname or the city you live in? I thank God that my username is the same as some airsoft gun because that's all that ever comes up unless someone uses my alternate longer-than-four-characters username.
"Look at me not ignoring people saying bad things on the internet"
They don't necessarily ignore it though, they just treat it with less weight. Creators often compare the merits of their critics to the merit of theirs. Let's say if you're an animation student, you'll definitely feel like shit if Miyazaki/Walt Disney gives nonconstructive input to your creation. However, you won't feel anything at all if it's an awful filmmaker saying that to you.
