How do you think an i5 at 3.2GHz, 8Gb RAM and a 760 FTW 4Gb Would preformed on this? I want to at least get 60Fps at 1080p on all high settings.

We'll find out soon enough.
A friend of mine very kindly bought me the game on steam, it's going take forever to preload though.
I am literally jelly [editline]8th April 2015[/editline] i can't afford gta v because I'm saving up for a car :suicide:
Not really gonna happen I think. Mostly high maybe but not all maxed out. Real answer: nobody knows really. We'll find out soon enough.
What about dual SLI 760 FTW 4Gb's?
What about dual SLI 760 FTW 4Gb's?
My guess is it'll run mostly maxed out if not fully. Again, it depends on A) rest of specs and B) optimization. This article is bad at letting us know how optimized it is or isn't because they're running top of the line hardware.
How do 780s fare against 770s and 760s ?
As some have stated, script mods were the fun of IV mp. Hell I remember playing with some dudes who had flying cars mod and they would do sky crash derby with passengers shooting at each other. That was fun too. From the sound of it none of that will be possible in V because Rockstar is being an ass.
How are they "being an ass" by being against cheaters exactly? They kind of have to put these systems in place to keep Online enjoyable for everyone. Have you played IV's multiplayer recently? It's riddled with Simple Native Trainer users.
Just steal one
just use Uber
Screw it, not gonna buy. Those 60€ will come in handy for something else.
Fuck, I don't want to play on medium, at least High (gtx 760) edit: at 60fps ofc
isn't that a shame [editline]9th April 2015[/editline]
How do 780s fare against 770s and 760s ?
a 780 is close to a 970. 970 still makes more sense if you're buying it now.
I wanted to buy this for my friend so we could enjoy it together on his rig with a GTX 970, but he refused and now I'm stuck with my GTX 850M :(
Huh. Nice, nice, my computer should run it then. Guess I better hurry up and RMA my DOA GTX960, though. My HD5870 would play it but it'd probably cry for mercy, overheat, and die. Again. Civ V already did that to it once and I was able to resurrect the thing :v:
:/
AKA 'If we detect modified game files we turn GTA:O off'. I doubt they're gonna actively try to squash out people who install car mods, and for someone like me who honestly couldn't give less of a shit about GTA:O if they tried it's totally not a big deal. I don't plan on playing MP myself beyond perhaps LAN coop, so it's not a big deal for me. [editline]8th April 2015[/editline]
How do you think an i5 at 3.2GHz, 8Gb RAM and a 760 FTW 4Gb Would preformed on this? Even on medium high it's gonna look great, though, so it's not like you're gonna be staring into a pile of brown pixels.
Should I guess that medium settings by their standards is the console's graphics?
As long as they only use it for online multiplayer I couldn't care less. I don't plan on playing MP myself beyond perhaps LAN coop, so it's not a big deal for me.
There's no local servers last time I checked, closest thing is a private lobby. But thats not what we meant. Judging from what itsjuly said, he wanted people to be able to cheat in Online which Rockstar will very obviously not allow.
Got a 660ti, hopefully I can run it slighty above medium
I got a 660ti too and I'm planning to upgrade it sometime during this summer if I can afford to
i meant them locking down their game to make modding difficult or impossible. they could, for all we know, lock everything up and make script loading not possible
"Mod tools for GTA V would be put out by Rockstar after the PC release. My sources say that Rockstar would fully support mods for SP but they could allow mod to work on MP as long it's a private game" I do recall Rockstar mentioning GTA V will have mod support on PC.
I'm a little bit worried after reading this that I'm not going to be able to play at 1080p with decent fps. Running with Core i5 2300 8 gb RAM XFX Radeon R9 270 Boost 2GB What do you guys think?
Then why are you using steam?
It's just as rediculous as using uPlay in steam games. Why aren't THEY using steam? [editline]9th April 2015[/editline]
How are they "being an ass" by being against cheaters exactly?
"Mod tools for GTA V would be put out by Rockstar after the PC release. Rockstar has never said anything about having any kind of mod support on PC.
It's just as rediculous as using uPlay in steam games. Why aren't THEY using steam?
Rockstar Social Club handles everything, stats, multiplayer progress and all that. The Consoles versions use it as well. I know for Max Payne 3, Social Club wasn't launched outside of the game, you only ever saw it after the game was running, it was an overlay. You don't even know it is there. You just put in your CD key on first run and just forget about it. Unless you completed a challenge or an achievement. [editline]9th April 2015[/editline]
hmm, perhaps the option showing up when you click play to launch either online or SP means there actually is a separate client, would make it a lot easier to pull something like this off
There is no Multiplayer exe, there is a shortcut with an target line to make the game start in MP mode.
I'm a little bit worried after reading this that I'm not going to be able to play at 1080p with decent fps. Matter of fact I'll probably be able to turn a lot of the purely graphical stuff up since my bottleneck will be physics and loading. I'll likely end up with pretty low settings on car density and the like to give my processor and RAM a break, but stuff like AA and AF and shaders I'll probably have medium-high or higher. I ran GTA IV on an AMD Athlon 2 4200+ Socket 939 dual core, though, so I'm sure this tri-core will handle a better optimized game like a champ.
"Mod tools for GTA V would be put out by Rockstar after the PC release. I'd dearly love that to be true but given R*'s history on the topic I'm not taking a random facepuncher's word on it.
There's no local servers last time I checked, closest thing is a private lobby. But thats not what we meant. Judging from what itsjuly said, he wanted people to be able to cheat in Online which Rockstar will very obviously not allow.
Yeah and that's fine. I don't care if they have anti-cheat for multiplayer. My main concern is whether or not their anti-cheat is going to get in the way of me replacing Trevor's pickup truck with a Reliant Robin or making Franklin wear a Stig outfit, or perhaps giving Mikey the minigun from Fallout: New Vegas as his default weapon. I want to replace the Rhino's model with a T-34/85, to replace a bunch of cars with other, better, real world cars, to fuck with their handling lines so I can do missions better and such or for comedic effect. And all of that I'll be doing in single player as I did in IV and SA. As long as R*'s anticheat doesn't get in the way of me doing those things I'll be happy. If it does R* can go fuck themselves.
I'm not buying the game till people find ways to mod it. Played the shit out of gta 5 on 360 and ik not going to be interested playing the same old online without modding.
I'm not buying the game till people find ways to mod it. Played the shit out of gta 5 on 360 and ik not going to be interested playing the same old online without modding.
From the sounds of things rockstar isn't going to allow mods online
but the 770 isn't a 660 at least it'll get high settings EDIT: then again, a 770 is literally an overclocked 660 so what am I saying
The 770 is 100% not an overclocked 660. It's got more shaders, ROPs, texture mappers, smx units, wider bus, pretty much everything that can be improved while being on the same architecture.
Woo, if min specs will run it at 800x600, then my day 1 will be spent seeing if my poor 285 can run it all on low but at 1600x900.
It's an overclocked 680.
Correct.
