I got a gtx 750 ti a few months ago it still impresses me for a 160$ card.
Still not worth buying. They're still using 28nm fabrication because of TSMC delays. Real performance gains will come next year with the introduction of 20nm Maxwell cards.
I thought those weren't coming until 2016?
Bought a 780 ti half a year ago for £450. Not unhappy but I'd like it if they lowered the price of them so I could get another to SLI.
Yeah probably gonnna wait 2 generations or so until I upgrade, should be relatively fine with a 1080p monitor.
i still have a 660ti though i dont really play vidya that much anymore, the stuff i do play doesnt really need anything more its nice though
660 here, beginning to notice the aging but it's still good enough for me. If I were to buy another card, it'd most likely be a 970 anyway.
My 970 came the other day, I'm absolutely in love with the 27c idle temps with the fans not spinning
are you serious m8?
970 rolls for ~380-400€ here, fuck still getting it though
I wish I had money for the cutting edge.
I was only able to get a 770 cause of tax refund :v: Otherwise i'd still be on my 7850
I'm looking at upgrading from my aging 660 to a 970 Yeah we'll see better cards next year but I can't wait forever and the 970 is such a sweet deal

Forever shall I stay in my hole of dirt and rock in a world of steel and silicon.
Aging 660 :v: bitch I'm going from 460 to 750. Forever shall I stay in my hole of dirt and rock in a world of steel and silicon.
you should save a little more and go with a 770 when the price drops start
Would two 980s be better than two radeon r9 290xs? wondering if it's worth upgrading
Would two 980s be better than two radeon r9 290xs? wondering if it's worth upgrading
very much so. the 970 is really close to the 290x the 980 beats it
are you serious m8?
The new Maxwell cards are designed to be incredibly power-efficient. The cards themselves don't even touch 200W under load, so when they're idle, they consume as little power as possible. Low power draw means low heat generation, and I personally think AMD has a long way to go before they can master such a concept as well as Nvidia has.
970? Bitch please, I have a 9400 gt. Miles ahead of all that. right guys *sobs*
Looks like I chose a great time to get a 770 :suicide:
and I choose a great time to be poor and have a 9 year old PC :v: euromillions pls, I'll even donate the rest, I just want, like, 3000€ to be a good for nothing
I don't really want to spend a whole lot of money so now's probably my chance to get a 760 instead. Hope the price lowers. [editline]0[/editline] Running a 560ti right now.
970? Bitch please, I have a 9400 gt. Miles ahead of all that. right guys *sobs*
9600 gt where's the tissues to wipe my nose?
-automerge break-
That 970 is really enticing. Waiting for GTA V before upgrading from my 480 unless some kind of amazing black friday deal or price mistake happens before then.
I've seen benchmarks that my 680 is about on par with the new 980. And now this anand tech article says that it's roughly double the framerates. What am I to believe?!
I write for Anandtech so I'm biased but our GPU bench is very accurate and our testing is fairly widely known as credible. The 680 is obviously not on par with the 980, because it wasn't on par with the 780 ti which is slower than the 980.
you should save a little more and go with a 770 when the price drops start
Maybe I should have put more thought into my decision
I still sit here with my 560 ti :v: Time to upgrade I guess!

What am I to believe?!
Anandtech is very accurate, but anyway, you can also try techpowerup.com, tomshardware.com and guru3d.com. There are many others, but these are the ones I usually check for reviews. I'm pretty sure all of them have similar results and I didin't even check guru3d and Anandtech yet.
