"targeting 60 fps"
That means not 60fps unless you're looking at the sky.
Fucking really?

no, that literally means their overall performance goal is 60 fps, where did you get this dumb shit about only when looking at the sky?

Play Killzone or Infamous, both PS4 games that go for "targeting 60 fps". Always the same shit.
At least with Infamous they didn't play up the 60fps for a selling point, unlike Killzone. That game has an awful framerate (and it's an awful game, anyway).

Not the same developers. Stop thinking they all do things exactly the same way.

Buying a killzone game and expecting it to be good is pretty stupid in itself. Killzone has always been Sonys answer to Halo, except that Killzone has always been dull and generic while halo actually had a bit of character to it.

what? in killzone's multiplayer it's a constant 60fps.
also infamous second son is capped at 30fps.. it's never been 60fps.
you literally couldn't be more wrong than you are right now unless you said both games were for the amiga 500

Infamous isn't capped. They added an option post-release in a patch to cap it, otherwise it's a variable framerate that can sometimes reach 60 if there's not much activity on screen.
also "constant 60fps" fucking lol

well then how about the difference between 30 and 60, dingus.
This whole change from "60fps" to "targeting 60fps" in marketing for Sony games has been getting bigger these days. For the entire industry, really.
it's a new console, the devs don't know all the tricks yet
compare ps3 launch titles to later stuff like the last of us

I'm pretty sure PS3 was alien architecture at the time it was released. PS4 is a lot more familiar so i don't see it having huge improvements down the line like PS3 had.
