Don't physical copies have a higher failure chance than something like a harddrive?
Physical good are useless and outdated, that's what happened to them. Why have 200 DVDs taking a corner of your house up when you can store them all on a tiny box in the loft and watch them on any tv in the house at a click of a button.
Or if you're not totally retarded, you can have both...?
I buy CD's, I'm a collector.
CD's suck ass. they degrade like hell. i found a whole group of CD's in my old closet and none of them even worked for whatever reason.
even cassettes last longer.
Uh. No, I'm pretty sure that's not how that works, at all.
I like CD's, especially when it comes to orchestral pieces, as they usually have a higher sound quality than the MP3s you end up downloading.
I would rather buy my music rather than just buy the rights to listen to it on Apple's devices.
You're still buying the rights to the music if you buy a physical copy.

Not if I crack the DRM so I can listen to the music I bought where I want, when I want, on the device I want to.
What happened to the good old CD rather than buying everything online? Hard copies are always great and better imo, worth the higher cost. Good thing I don't buy stuff from iTunes anyway.
Surprising to hear that from someone who has 85 games on Steam.
I usually hear that from console gamers.

Ugh I know right? Every fucking time, like they have a trophy room of game boxes, where they just smell it all day and shove their pubic hair into it.

You're also getting it in lossess 1411 kb/s format too.
i usually buy off itunes but some albums that come in more than just a jewel case are nice to have hardcopy
Why listen to music?
Why?
It's always nice when your hard drive crashes and the majority of your music can be immediately recovered by just ripping your CD's back into itunes.
I think it's good to own music on CD's just for hard copy purposes.
You're a fucking idiot if you don't have your data on backup storage.
You're the kind of person who'd grab the Queen of England's tits and expect to get away with it.
implying there is something worth grabbing

This is true. However, I like having something physical to look at for things like music or movies. They also serve as a backup hard copies.

You can make as many back ups as you want with Steam. Plus access from any computer, Steam cloud, etc.
Except it Steam back up sucks.. but you can still make backups of game files.
