Do people seriously think a massive company that has survived every economic downturn and crash (including the video game crash, mind you) since 1889 is going to disappear because one of their products isn't doing as well as expected?
Nobody has said otherwise?

While this is true, Nintendo still has a very long way to fall to reach that point. Their business interests are diverse and far-reaching. Hell, they even own their own American MLB team.
Nintendo went through the great depression
That's how long they've been around
If Nintendo died each time one their products flopped they'd fill up a graveyard single handedly.
They've hit another rough patch that's for sure but to claim they are as good as dead just makes you look like a stupid toss pot.
don't they have, like, way, way more money than even sony does?

every single one of their products would have to fail for at least a half a century for them to go bankrupt
Nintendo isn't going anywhere. Plus they have a long history of creating products that are "unsuccessful". They always survive.

You do realize they are pretty much dominating the handheld and family gaming markets at the moment, right?
Sure, the Wii U isn't doing so hot, but they are far from failing.
I don't want Nitendo to go bankrupt, I just want them to also make games for their IP's on the PC.
Sadly, I think they would rather go bankrupt then to do this but I always hope for the day that they do.
Oddly enough when I look at all the 'current' gen consoles I see the WiiU as the best. Consoles were never about power or versatility because PC dominates it in that area.
But the WiiU does offer some great exclusive single player experiences and some fucking local multiplayer which must be an endangered species by now considering how rare it is. I can see the WiiU going up and up and up, even if most people can't see beyond the tablet controls and overpowered hardware.
The only thing that i want to play if i ever get Wii U is for Bayonetta 2 honestly.
