35GB!? Holy Jesus!
lol its like 100 times more than battlefield 3 and crysis 2 requirements
But the game still does not look anywhere like 100 times better than battlefield 3 or crysis 2. I doubt it even passes both of those graphically.
From what i see, we don't get delayed, console players get the first product like a very late open beta, we get the official version this time.
That is how I am going to treat it, going to rent the ps3 version as a 2 week MP beta. [editline]24th April 2012[/editline] Also I am guessing the size is due to plentiful, and extremely detailed environments, textures, models, and perhaps the length of the game. Just because the game's engine doesn't look better than BF3's or something doesn't mean it should be smaller.
Well, seeing as it doesn't require THAT much of a computer, I might be able to run it :>
Oh boy, looks like the way they phrased the system requirements has already confused the shit out of an awful lot of people. It looks like they just listed the whole range of possible configurations the game CAN run on, the maximum listed specs are pretty much the best parts you can buy today and almost definitely won't be needed to max the game.
I wanted to buy retail anyway, I wonder how many disks it will be on. Soon enough retail pc games will ship on bluray disks, if more games start becoming much bigger. :v:
I hope not. Blu-Ray is incredibly expensive and unnecessary. Why not use double sided DVDs.
I hope not. Blu-Ray is incredibly expensive and unnecessary. Why not use double sided DVDs.
Depends on how much data we're talking about. The cost of a single blu-ray disc is more than double that of a dual-layer DVD, but if we're dealing with a game that requires 35gb of space then it might actually be cheaper to put the game on blu-ray, rather than splitting the game across 3-4 DVD's. Likely the only reason this isn't done is because blu-ray drives are not widespread on PC yet. Also, double-sided DVD's only hold 250mb more than a dual-layer DVD.
more than 4gb can't even work on 32bits correctly :V
I remember when age of conan was 30gb when it came out, never saw as much retail dvd.
more than 4gb can't even work on 32bits correctly :V
It can't work at all. But no-one cares about 32 bit anyway.
It can't work at all. But no-one cares about 32 bit anyway.
I think it works on linux. Or maybe I'm retarded
I got two 2 TB hdd so i'm covered. But i'll wait and see if the game is worth buying.
I think it works on linux. Or maybe I'm retarded
32 bit means there is only 4 billion possible memory address spaces, so no. finally I can use my ram on something
I think it works on linux. Or maybe I'm retarded
This makes no sense at all
I have no room left on my HDD to install this game! I'm still stuck in the old ages with a 250gb HD!
