This is one of the games that you neccesarilly need to play.
Could someone try to explain what is good about this game? To me it just seems like the same thing over and over again after watching gameplay for 5 minutes. Yes it's very original and has a charm I'm sure, but how is it entertaining or satisfying in any way?
BioShock Infinite, The Last of Us, Assassin's Creed IV, Grand Theft Auto V, etc.
All except Last of Us are sequels. We want more original IP!
DENIED,DENIED,DENIED,APPROVED,DENIED,DETAIN,REMOVE.
I really like the dystopian feel that I get when I watch people play this game and I want it now, but at the same time, I know I'm probably going to be really terrible at it. Are there varying levels of difficulty that can be set in an options menu to make it a little easier?
Eh. It was a good game and I enjoyed playing it but I wouldn't say it was the best game of 2013. Not even close.

You follow the story of a corrupt government and its relationship with other countries, and you learn about it through progressively tightening immigration laws which are the backbone of the game. It's very clever.
All except Last of Us are sequels. We want more original IP!
Original IP is over rated. I'd rather play a good game based on a series I enjoy than see developers blunder around trying to make a new IP every time.
Exceptionally good storytelling, for sure, probably the best of 2013. Wish the base game was a bit less frustrating, but I imagine that's what they were going for, so, mission accomplised.
Dude it's a unique puzzle game concept. You damn well know how rarely those come around.
Actually this year was full of them
So I finally played to an ending and I ended up in jail. At least they gave me a cheapass plaque.
It really does say a lot about the industry when a pixel art game about paperwork is the the best pc game of the year. Nothing worthwhile came out this year except for a few indie games. 2013 sucked for gaming
Wow aren't you an ungrateful little kid who doesn't actually know a thing about what he just said. There are many great titles on various plattforms that have been released. For instance the 3ds did exceptionally well this year and offer so many great titles.
I've already dunked 9 hours into this game and I'm only halfway through my second playthrough and I still plan on doing at least two more. From what I've played this game is absolutely worth it hands down. Its storytelling capabilities far surpassed what I was expecting going into the game. Glory to Arstotzka!
