I think their market strategy is to make every other product a piece of shit so that the next will be a godsend.
I think it is certainly interesting that while you are so quick to be open-minded toward Windows itself, you do still hold a pretty hefty bias against IE.
Some habits are hard to let go, hmm?
Anyway, biggest reason I don't use 8 isn't because of the Start Screen or anything like that. No, the reason I don't use it is because they killed off a lot of DirectDraw support in 8, which destroys my vintage game library. I'd like to transition to 8/.1/10, but I'll lose a couple hundred bucks in older games.

Is there any emulation software or DirectDraw runtime files that you can use?

Because it still doesn't compare to Firefox or Chrome. Yes, it's godlike in comparision to what it was, it's still several steps behind the competition. So there is no reason to acknowledge it as a good browser, because it isn't.
I understand that setting up a Virtual Machine is a bit of a hassle to just simply get around to doing, but that's always an option. Maybe something to go for when 10 comes out.
Windows 10 Technical Preview is now available -->

Edit :
Windows Technical Preview already installed :D
Not bad but I won't call it windows 10... it's basically Windows 8 but with just a nice start menu and
with a not very necessarily virtual desktop because for my side I have 5 monitors 3x 27" and 1x 24" on the top HP and a viewsonic 32" TV on my computer...
The installation seem a little bit more longer than the normal windows 8.1 and I have all my stuff again no formatting needed just installed over the iso decompressed.
But for my 2 cents I personally just call it an DLC or an update, because there was nothing very new just a correctif about what micro$oft wont do at the start of the win 8... and windows blue (codename)
I just hope for the next time Micro$oft wont make this again and for the new change they can make a DLC instead of a new windows, I can paid like a new start menu 5 bucks or a new options i can customize more the icon or positions of the stuff on the bottom bar would be nice !
