bioware had a mass layoff recently
stanly woo who worked there for 11 years was one of them that got let go
I guess you could say it was the end of line for him.
I don't know for Kotor 3, Sure it would of been great to have that instead of this garbage but I don't think they would be able to get near Kotor 1 or 2 and it would probably suck anyways but i would rather have that risk then god damn TOR.
I'm pretty sure SWG Emu has more players than TOR nowadays.
Dear Bioware; make it a one time payment and people might return.
I rather Obsidian did KOTOR 3.
They should add a singleplayer option like in Hellgate. Maybe with small private server hosting abilities for coop?
EA will shut it down, there too greedy to have it up for F2P unless it's Battlefield.

Why would they shut it down it's a profitable venture are you even aware of what thread you are in right now?
Seeing Bioware failing so badly is really sad. They used to make amazing games, what the hell happened? EA? New management? Did they just get lazy and incompetent all of a sudden?
I don't get it.
Remember people this is the AVERAGE number.
I usually see 2-3 Server hit heavy status and a lot more hit standard

Well if you wanted to be a negative nancy instead of a positive patrick you could also say that since it's an average, that also means they get super low at times as well.
its me or everything bioware released after Dragon Age 2 had some serious problem?
It started to visible show with mass effect 2. Was incredibly visibile with DA2 though.
This was pretty much obvious to anyone on a server that wasn't fatman or red eclipse.
Doing a /who for all level ranges on republic side getting 23 people at a friday 7pm something is up indeed.
"Not dying"

Some WoW servers have less online on average, is WoW dying?
Each time I see an Old Republic thread, I cannot help myself to think about titanic.

You post this exact thing in every TOR thread, just stop being in denial and admit that it's dying
I don't see how you can claim this with WoW still around.
There were people that could afford it back then and it's built up on that ever since.
It's simply surviving because it set a standard, and because of the occasional big update/expansion.

What?

It's stable at 1 million subscribers. That's a weird definition of dying you got there bub.
I don't even play the game so it's not like I have a horse in this race anyway.

If you want echo chamber bashing of a game then go to /v/. Otherwise stop going to SWTOR threads if you can't deal with inconveniences like facts, numbers, and reality.
They opened allot of extra servers at launch and it became a problem because once the boom died down allot of servers became really empty. They pretty much doubled the amount of servers and now we have 214 servers.
Bioware are going to merge the servers into 'super servers' with 1.3 apparently which should make the game allot more fun.
You trying to defend TORtanic so hard, that makes me thing you're a biodrone. Prove me wrong.

It lost 25% of it's subscribers in 2 months, it is not stable at all.
Star Wars Galaxies is RIP. Now this? What a shame.

Leave that shit in /v/.

I'm not defending TOR at all because I have no idea what is even happening with the game. I just have the presence of mind to go "Hey, wait a minute, what about that article posted a couple months ago that mentioned specific statistics about the game".

That article was in the beginning of March

Uuuuuhhh...
When I first saw the commercials for this a while back and saw apparently all cutscenes, no actual gameplay, it didn't register right with me. Now every other week its how there are fewer and fewer people playing.
Going F2P will actually be the deathblow for this, as it will 99% likely be EA's "special" brand of F2P like in Battlefield Heroes and such.
350 People average per server? Never though I'd actually see what was apparently a AAA game with fewer people online at average than International Ragnarok Online, a 9 year old english version of a KMMO with maybe 500 people average per server. Yes, a seriously flawed, ancient cash shop driven KMMO has more people on average than a high profile Star Wars MMO........
EDIT: Man I'm dumb. IRO only has 3 servers, I dunno how many TOR has. Of course TOR is actually gonna have more people overall if it has more than 3 servers.

Average server population accumulated by one survey is in no way related to a number of active subscribers straight from the source.
Also I think a couple weeks ago another report came out that didn't list numbers but did say that SWTOR was performing profitably.
[editline]27th May 2012[/editline]
Oh it did list numbers, 1.3 million http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/05/07/star-wars-the-old-republic-has-1-3-million-active-subs-new-con/
