Fallout in Canada I can dream
I really really don't want the Walking Dead meets Fallout game they described. We've got enough zombie games, and the ghoul dungeons were always the worst parts of Fallout 3 and New Vegas
I liked the ghouls cause they were brittle and easy to gib.
And yes, Skyrim used Gamebyro
haha, what?
Hope they do it on a radically different engine that isn't made by Bethesda. Gamebyro and skyrim engine is what ruins Bethesda games for me for the most part.
I still think that they should do Fallout Hawaii. "Aloha smoothskin"
I hope they don't do it on a new engine because I just want all the mods from Fallout 3 and New Vegas to be easy to port over, and there are so many good mods for Fallout 3 and New Vegas that make them literally the greatest RPGs of all time.
I think a fallout set in china would be interesting, so much potential there.
haha, what?
The Creation engine uses the Gamebryo engine as a base, however it has had significant rewrites. That's not to say it's better, most of the rewrites seem to fixissues which were brought about by Bethesda's already rewritten Gamebryo engine, often nicknamed 'Bethbryo'. People over simplify it by saying Skyrim literally runs on the Gamebryo engine which is not the case.
I think a fallout set in china would be interesting, so much potential there.
The canceled Fallout Extreme was supposedly going to have some levels in China. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Extreme Sounded like an interesting game.
Fallout in Canada I can dream
The U.S. annexed Canada, so it'd still be in the U.S., kinda.
I think a fallout set in china would be interesting, so much potential there.
You mean that place that is in a perpetual state of fission (kinda like the sun) due to the shear amount of nukes launched at it?
so if this actually happens does that mean we'll get a canon ending for Fallout New Vegas 1?
AFAIK the visuals are an inherent problem with Gamebryo which Bethesda will probably never stop using, it can't even render shadows correctly as far as I can tell
The shadows in skyrim... Eurhgrhegrhehh
I hated how everything was fucking orange in NV but Obsidian deserves another chance after that Metacritic bullshit.
I really really don't want the Walking Dead meets Fallout game they described. We've got enough zombie games, and the ghoul dungeons were always the worst parts of Fallout 3 and New Vegas
The Walking Dead is used as a generic term for "anything zombie related" and will be for a while thanks to its popularity and general success in the public mind. Get used to hearing it.
Feels like Im the only one who actually liked FO:NV better than FO3
Feels like Im the only one who actually liked FO:NV better than FO3
uh Everyone agrees new vegas is better than Fallout 3.
uh Everyone agrees new vegas is better than Fallout 3.
in terms of story, characters, dialogue, pacing, endings and overall DLC quality maybe yes in terms of apocalyptic atmosphere probably no but then again, Fallout isn't really a post-apocalyptic series. It's a post post-apocalyptic set of games.
I hope New Vegas 2 (or whatever they call it) will be like Pokemon Gold and Silver where at first you're in a new region and then when you beat the game you can go back to the Mojave Wasteland and go back and forth, bringing your companions, weapons and armour with you, doing even more sidequests and finding stuff/people/quests in one region you wouldn't find in the other.
and the ghoul dungeons were always the worst parts of Fallout 3 and New Vegas
grabbing a shotgun or a super sledge and charging into a ghoul cave was fun as fuck what are you talking about to hell with glowing ones though

Please for the love of god make things more detailed. I was so excited about the Vegas Strip in the trailers. Then I found out its a couple of fucking buildings split into three sectors with hardly anyone. Its suppose to be a city, dammit!
Console limitations and shitty engine
There is a mod on PC that makes it one big place and it plays fine so it's mostly console limitations.
I would rather have fallout 4. I found fallout 3 had a much richer landscape than new Vegas by far.
I would rather have fallout 4. I found fallout 3 had a much richer landscape than new Vegas by far.
But Bethesdas story and writing weren't nearly as good as Obsidians.
I would rather have fallout 4. I found fallout 3 had a much richer landscape than new Vegas by far.
Well we're most likely getting both so don't complain.
I would love to see another fallout, but I would rather see it in a new location..I mean they honestly could do it even in Europe. Which would be amazing! :)

Fallout 3's landscape just pissed me off. It didn't make any sense, the war was long over, yet everything was absolutely devastated and nothing seemed like it was alive. The bombs fell over 200 years before, why is civilization still non-existent? Also... still irradiated?
