i got this not knowing i already had it and i now somehow have two copies in my library shit, this is going to bug me for a while
Right click the game and click 'Hide' and it'll disappear from your games list.
You guys have gotta stop finding reasons to dislike origin, despite it being made by EA you've gotta admit origin's been a fucking awesome platform so far, and would've succeeded miles ahead of what it has done if steam didn't exist
It's a helluva lot more stable than steam, I'll give it that
Well I just got a massive fucking memory leak from trying to get this game from the store. Origin started trying to update itself and it all went downhill from there. One reboot later I tried again and it asked to provide feedback. I gave them this [t]http://i.imgur.com/GEdNDvC.png[/t]
uhhh yeah lol blame the devs on you having a shitty pc [editline]27th March 2014[/editline]
I loved everything about DS3, especially the crafting, but it was way too easy.
The crafting is insane had a pistol with just rabid+damage +3 and clip + reload + 3 hyper OP as hell
Little by little they're redeeming themselves
The first and second are the best. The third was atrocious.
I had fun with all of them actually. They progressively get less horror focused and more action focused, but they're all pretty fun games.
Make the second one free willya, I already got the first thru humble bundle. Great game, too.
Everyone who hasn't beat it should play. Still my favorite game along with the second.
I had fun with all of them actually. They progressively get less horror focused and more action focused, but they're all pretty fun games.
Well considering you wouldn't be that scared after shooting at shit and surviving over a long period of time, it sort of makes sense. Seems like Issac would just get sick of the necromorphs shit rather than terrified of them.
I don't see what people think was so terrible about Dead Space 3. Sure it had problems, but it was still a good game. The only complaints I had were that Carver got no screen time in the single player so his and Isaac's friendship by the end made no sense, and that they made Isaac sane again and Carver was the crazy one for no reason. In Dead Space 4 I seriously hope the focus of Isaac and his fight against himself instead of just brushing it off. Also any complaints of "It wasn't scary!" are dumb, you can't make necromorphs scary after 3 games, not when they stopped being scary 2 hours into the first game. Dead Space has always been an action horror series, deal with it.
Absolutely hated Ellie and the Ending. Massive Spoiler Alert. [sp]By god, they have all this bullshit towards the end of how "THIS IS IT, WE ARE GOING TO DIE." It all takes the absolute piss when you've spent most of the climax making this out to be the end of Issac's story when he just survives at the end of the credits. Its like a really shitty version of the Dead Space 2 ending. Ellie was Fine in Dead Space 2, but in Dead Space 3 the dialogue just gets so bad. Specifically the entire mountain climb sequence and possibly the beginning of the game. So So many things wrong with her character, she gets pissed off at Issac for shooting a guy for trying to kill everyone and betraying the entire group. Not only are we thrown the fact that Issac and Ellie were previously love interests with no god damned background to it. It felt really artificial the relationship between the two. There are some really good pieces of dialogue between Issac and Carver however, i could debate it can be some of the best in the game. Particularly the part just before they enter the Alien City. Where carver is talking about the bad things he has done, and how he feels that he needs to atone for them. Pretty nice and i'd be more happy to see how he fleshes out as a main character. Seriously though, i wanna actually see what the hell is going on with the Oracle Child. (Seriously, if you haven't playing DS2 Severed or DS : Extraction you have no clue what is coming.) I hope we get another story that gravitates away from issac, his character is starting to seem rather old.[/sp]
Without spoiling can you tell me if they fucked up the Markers and did a Disney Ending like "and then the bad guys were ded nd issaac saved universe the end"? Or if they gave the Markers some idiotic bullshit origin story like "it was all aliens afterall!!"? The sole reason why I haven't played the third is exactly that. It would completely destroy what I loved about the first 2, not exactly knowing what this weird ass rock is actually up to. I loved how freaky it was and you could never really know what was happening.
Kind of spoilers, the third one sucks so much ass that you wont be at a big loss anyway. [sp]I can tell you that the markers are just as mysterious as they always were, they haven't given them a proper origin story yet. I didn't play the DLC, so I'm not sure if they said there. But in DS3 it's basically just another world finding a marker, just like Earth did.[/sp]
i just wish the game would stop being so fucking crash-prone, ive tried to play it on steam in the past, but jesus fuck every 30 minutes or so it would keep on crashing, and i would lose my saved games, and i just eventually gave up. i have no idea what could be causing it either :(
To be fair the second relied too much on shock horror or disturbing shit, whilst the first one didn't even have safe zones, enemies would randomly spawn and sometimes sneak up on you in the store.
whilst the first one didn't even have safe zones, enemies would randomly spawn and sometimes sneak up on you in the store.
Are you sure about that? Each chapter usually had at least one room with a save spot and a shop that acted as a hub. I don't remember ever being attacked in the store.

Don't think it happened again though.
whoops! Didn't realize i already owned it so now i have 2
That happened to me to!
I'm a huge fan of Dead Space and here's what I have to say. 1 and 2 are a must. 3 has cool weapon crafting, COOP (which makes more sense as a multiplayer component than weird L4D clone) and you visit various environments. The writing is bad unfortunately. Ellie who was very cool, independent character in DS2 is turned into a damsel in distress. Norton has the most cliche asshole personality, Carver has a sudden personality change which doesn't make sense even if you play COOP and see his entire story. The ending is okay-ish but I can't ignore the obvious ME3 similarities. Last issue I have is they keep throwing enemies at you without a room to breathe. Both previous games had sections were all you did was explore dead silent hallways. Here every other room is an arena. Not sure why I typed all that but make sure to get DS1.
