It kinda looks like the USS Enterprise service patch turned sideways ArmA 3 confirmed to actually be a Star Trek fanfic the entire game is on the Holodeck
Maybe not photorealism, but still incredible
Some of those photos looks like they were taken in real life. I love it.
Sorry to go off topic, but what are the new trucks in the screenies? Haven't been able to play ARMA since it made my video card die.
For me it's the complete opposite. I got horrible fps on low settings when it was released but now i can play it on medium/high with good fps
isnt it because low settings sometimes offsets the load/rendering onto your CPU instead of GPU
First comment on article
Realism is the most important factor for me when it comes to gaming. These screenshots are absolutely jaw-dropping! :^D
Yeah no.
I really need to get a new PC so I can play Arma 3, Star Citizen, and DayZ all on their highest settings.
I really need to get a new PC so I can play Arma 3, Star Citizen, and DayZ all on their highest settings.
Never played Star Citizen, but I know that Arma, in general, will typically run like dooky on most machines no matter the settings or hardware used. Its just the batshit insane resource allocation.

Is this an update that's coming soon or something?
First comment on article Yeah no.
What point are you even trying to make?
No matter what people say, A3 is probably the closest a "game" has gotten to visual realism in the way the human eyes perceive the world. It's not a stylized version and doesn't take anything over the top. Darkness and the weather really showcase this well. Overcast settings really look like a drab day where everything is equally lit and drab. Nighttime settings are very detracting but it's not impossible to see like some games. You can make out movement and the HDR is getting very close to the way it is in real life. Stylization has its place but it's not in sims.
I need a better computer. My poor hd 5850 is eaten alive by this game
What's with the non-clickable screenshots? I can't see shit [editline]8th June 2013[/editline]
No matter what people say, A3 is probably the closest a "game" has gotten to visual realism in the way the human eyes perceive the world.
(again, no matter what people say) Battlefield 3, when there's no combat involved. Especially on not-so-blue DLC maps
Is this an update that's coming soon or something?
Yeah. It goes into beta following E3
What? Have you played ArmA 3 yet? ArmA 3 is a million times less clunky than ArmA 2.
If it has anywhere near the same feeling to controls as in ArmaII (I tried the zombie mod) then this game is certainly not for me at least.
If it has anywhere near the same feeling to controls as in ArmaII (I tried the zombie mod) then this game is certainly not for me at least.
It doesn't, that's what he was saying.
If it has anywhere near the same feeling to controls as in ArmaII (I tried the zombie mod) then this game is certainly not for me at least.
The controls are pretty similar, but they feel so much better.
I need a better computer. My poor hd 5850 is eaten alive by this game
Haha pfft, I played this game on a HD 3850, and believe me when I say that was being eaten alive even on the lowest settings.
because future
1982.
I think digi-cam is easier to manufacture, or something along those lines
Man I wish my shit PC could handle this game I really want to play this
1982.
it was a joke you boob
I wonder what CPU I'd need to run at those settings, assuming ArmA doesn't utilize much of it.
It's good for an ARMA game but is still WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too clunky.
It's not clunky at all, it's all totally smooth.
If by clunky you mean "having stances other than stand, crouch, and prone" then yeah i guess it's pretty clunky
If by clunky you mean "having stances other than stand, crouch, and prone" then yeah i guess it's pretty clunky
I was hoping for the ability to dive out of the way in ArmA3, with the limited movement options your response time to enemy fire really takes a hit.
