Grand Theft Auto 5 PC in 'final stages' of development

I've played through this on my PS3, then I came across a 360 and I borrowed a friends copy and played through the entire campaign again
I'm gonna buy it on PC and play through the campaign for the third time :v: I love this game and I can't wait to push the graphics to the max, not to mention the mods
Still waiting for those specs Rockstar.

Car damage sucks dick in GTA5, too, by comparison. Can't wait for the PC version so I can tweak it. I would ramp up GTA4's to 5x the deformation so a real savage wreck looked like one, and it was deformation that would render the car useless instead of the explosion that killed it
???

The same kind of deformation system is in V, yes, but it's been massively nerfed
To get that level of deformation in V you have to crash into 100 cars or drive in between a train.
The only real consistency between the games is Lazlo :v:

The "HD" games 4 and 5 are in different universes then the 3D games.
The 3D are supposedly the same "reality"
They pulled back on that pretty hard in GTAV, there are loads of references to Vice City and San Andreas (the game). Hell you can even have Trevor wear a Love Fist t-shirt.
and [sp]you actually see love fist live[/sp] in 5
Really? [sp]I don't remember seeing that at all[/sp]

[sp]actually nvm it was just 1 member[/sp]
Don't you have to go [sp]steal his tooth[/sp] or something like that or is that IV

I just hope the controls on PC will be good. Because i can't play any kind of shooter with gamepad. I feel like i lost my hands.

Yeah, i'm willing to sacrifice the analog driving controls just for being able to shoot with the mouse in an FPS mode
I can speedrun GTA IV on PC just because it's so easy to land headshots and get insta kills

how can anyone find this car handling realistic
idk what the problem with that is? You haven't driven till you've driven at 80+ mph, sideways and upside down, down a main road. Seems pretty realistic to me.
I don't get why people bitch about GTA IV as much as they do, Rockstar were working with new technologies, it was going to have flaws and weird little hiccups in quality, but it was still a very solid game. It showed Rockstar can actually write a story that's emotionally engaging and serious. The rest of the city is still pretty mental compared to some of the story characters, if anything Nico is the straight guy to the total stupidity of the rest of the city. He spends most of the time wondering what the hell is wrong with everyone in the early game after all.
What I personally liked about driving in IV was that once you master it you're like a driving god there. Multiplayer races were really fun because of that.
Just preordered it. Can't wait. Really need those PC requirements tho

Luckily, I'm one of those people than can transition from KBM to Playstation to XBox to Wii flawlessly.

I read that and went "OH FUCK IS IT ON SALE ON STEAM NOW"
and then was thoroughly disappointed
I'm actually better at driving with mouse+kb and I almost feel like some video game extraordinaire mashing A and D at various speeds to pull off precise turns
I'm actually better at driving with mouse+kb and I almost feel like some video game extraordinaire mashing A and D at various speeds to pull off precise turns
I've gotten used to it too, GTA IV was clever because pressing A for a second wouldn't perform a full turn, it would slowly ease the wheel to the left to make up for lack of analog input, I presume GTA V will be the same
I've never had issues with mouse and keyboard driving personally, and this is coming from someone who originally played GTA on a console. Feels a great system personally, controlling the car with the WASD control system freeing up the mouse to shoot the living crap out of everything and anything.
Yeah aiming with a mouse out of the car is the greatest part

So did Max Payne?
I usually pick up a controller to drive cars in gta, its much more fun
I don't see how, all it does is allow you to drive slower without tapping W and makes shooting more difficult.

A helicopter on the other hand, I still have nightmares about that mission in Gay Tony where you get that helicopter and need to shoot a boat or something I think. I crashed into water far too much.
So did Max Payne?
Never played them.
Okay if you're going to be a massive pedant about this. It showed Rockstar can write a proper, serious story in the world of GTA.

San Andreas?
San Andreas?
Good, but still super goofy in places. Come on, you break into Area 51 and steal a jetpack. The drama in it could have been pretty good if the characters could act out a bit more, but technological limits and shit.
I'm not saying every GTA has a shit story but GTA IV, just that GTA IV to me represents a massive improvement in how Rockstar wrote and presented the GTA stories.

Well, if it is like GTA4, you can swap controls on the fly, so I'll use my X-Box One controller for driving and flying, and use the KB+M for first person stuff.

What about first person driving and shooting?
What about first person driving and shooting?
Well, a proposed way I would fix it is to map keys to make each able to be done with one hand. Put the driving on the left hand for your controller. The stick to steer, Bumper to brake, trigger to gas. Then the mouse for your aiming, looking and shooting
A game where you drive and shoot at the same time isn't really ever going to be very wieldy
where da fuck are my specs?
where da fuck are my specs?
Yeah I was planning to upgrade soon too, but I want to make sure GTA V will run nicely.
heres to hoping i can run it on high with an r9 270
