So did Max Payne?
Max Payne 1 and 2 were developed by Remedy and not Rockstar though?
I can't wait to mod gta. Reduce tire grip a bit and multiply the damage to cars. The driving physics are all there, tires just have way too much grip. I miss IV
Max Payne 1 and 2 were developed by Remedy and not Rockstar though?
There's also Max Payne 3.
There's also Max Payne 3.
Which was released after GTA IV, so it's irrelevant to what he's saying.
COME ON ROCKSTAR I JUST WANT IT NOW
Looks like Rockstar never got round to releasing the specs last week.
Never played them. Okay if you're going to be a massive pedant about this. It showed Rockstar can write a proper, serious story in the world of GTA.
I don't see how a discussion of: "This is the first time they've ever done this" "They've already done this twice before though?" makes me a pedant. It doesn't matter, since Stopper is right and I forgot that all they did was publish it when I wrote it, but you're implying that competent writers have issues writing a dramatic story about a place just because in prior stories about that place had someone slip on a banana peel or some shit.
the movement fucking sucked. Like why did it take more than a second to turn around, and why did Niko always feel the need to run forward first, killing me on multiple occasions, instead of just turning his feet to the right or left like a normal human being would?
That is still a problem in V, except in IV it was possible to cancel the animations and instantly turn around, in V there is no such workaround. [editline]30th December 2014[/editline]
Really? Never noticed it. The mission that made me ragequit certainly didn't have, I shiver just from remembering all the time wasted because I got wasted.
that mission was fucking easy lmao
that mission was fucking easy lmao
I hate helicopters, especially on GTAIV. I can't control them for shit, and te fact that it feels unresponsive as fuck just make it worse. If you look at me playing any game with helicopters, you'll see that I always let someone else pilot them. [editline]30th December 2014[/editline] It's more of a personnal thing, so I don't expect people to agree.

It's one of the reasons why I got myself an 360 controller and since then I can't play the game without the controller.
That is still a problem in V, except in IV it was possible to cancel the animations and instantly turn around, in V there is no such workaround.
Movement is still a problem, sure, except now it's way less terrible because they have a turning while moving backwards animation. You might still jump into a wall like an asshole because the wall is an inch too high, but it's way, way better in GTAV. I wasn't scared out of my mind on that one mission where you go up on a rooftop to [sp]prepare for the jewelry heist iirc[/sp] because I felt way more in-control. Also, I never knew about any insta-turn glitch.
that mission was fucking easy lmao
Yes I'm sure your controller made it that much less of a hassle since GTAIV didn't have GTAV's first-person aiming when in a helicopter. [editline]30th December 2014[/editline]
A game where you drive and shoot at the same time isn't really ever going to be very wieldy
It worked pretty well in Saints Row (the Third, at least. The first one's console exclusive so it's not like aiming'll ever be easy on that, 2 has a really shitty port, and nobody used cars in IV.) It all depends on how the driving works. If it's really responsive and you can correct yourself at decent speed, it'll be fine. If it's GTAIV? You're fucked.
Looks like Rockstar never got round to releasing the specs last week.
And don't expect it 'til the 6th.
And don't expect it 'til the 6th.
Why the 6th in particular?
When I've last played GTAIV with KBM the helicopter stuff is a nightmare. It's one of the reasons why I got myself an 360 controller and since then I can't play the game without the controller.
Numpad is God.
Mods. Here's hoping it wont be a pain in the ass like gta 4 modding.
The file structure is nearly the same. People have modded the last gen console versions GTA5, but those were edits to files that could be edited with a text editor.
I hope gta online wont be as boring and grindy as ps3/x360.
i just want to have fun in multiplayer, not do any missions or having the police steal my car if i do crimes just hoping for mods now..
Looks like Rockstar never got round to releasing the specs last week.
They are coming with the heists
I hope gta online wont be as boring and grindy as ps3/x360.
They have not changed it any.
