The second game is much better. Almost everything has small improvements all around, almost all quests have some sort of dialouge, and there is an actual story to it, making it a helluva lot more fun.
Grah. Borderlands 2 is 50% off but none of the DLC are. I was really, really wanting to pick up the season pass for myself, then the season pass plus mechromancer for my friend.
And more games that I already have or are not sufficiently interested in! Maybe, just maybe my wallet will survive!

OK so LA Noir finished downloading, but it crashes after it shows the steam community indicator, and none of the fixes seem to work.
Did I just waste five dollars?

Did you try adding "-str -npd" to the launch options? Somebody had a problem with it a while back, and I remember them saying that fixed it for them.

Tried putting it in and now it goes "first time set up 1/1" for a split second and then doesn't even come up.

Did you disable UAC, run steam (not the game, but steam itself) as an administrator, all that jazz?

Yeah.
There was a download with a couple of files that you drop into the main folder and it started working.
Any way to change the detail distance in here? Everything looks like shit while driving unless I am 5 feet away. It's not my computer, because it stays that way until I move up to it.

Decided I didn't want to risk missing a good deal on Skyrim. Bought it of GMG with the coupon code at about 66% off normal price & picked up Dawnguard at 50% off. Rather have it risk seeing a better deal appear than not grab it and have no better deal come up.
EDIT: Huh, and since my brother has Skyrim installed through his Steam account, mine just did a quick update and is ready to go. Neat.
So many good deals, by this rate my wallet will get annihilated durning the winter holiday sale.
Picked up Chivalry and Deus Ex HR. Hell yes.
So far, i've picked up the following.

x5 Chivalry
And not one of these was for myself, but rather my steam inventory to give out to friends and people i like.
Except one copy of chivalry, because you can't buy the four pack without steam adding one of the copies to your library.

I just got L.A Noire with this sale and I have all the settings on low and I can tell you that the billboards sure don't look anywhere near that bad close up.

Is there a config file I can edit? Also when I open up the notebook outdoors it gets ungodly amounts of blurry, like when dof blur...
