The sale is only a let down if you already owned the games with the biggest discount, there was a shit load of great deals going on for fantastic game a lot of which are actually still pretty damn new.
I got brave new world for £13 so i was content from day 1.
Well I snagged Saints Row The Third on the sale and half of the 4.99 cost was eliminated through this trading card sales thing.
I'm a pretty happy camper. I've never played Saints Row before.

You're in for a treat. It's a hilariously fun series.
I think my favorite purchase out of this entire sale was Hotline Miami, bought it cause my friend said it was good and for $2.50, why not?
Great sound track, and pretty difficult game (I played with a controller though) pretty happy with that purchase.
Way better than last year's STEAM summer sale.
Best summer sale because I bought ten copies of Just Cause.
I'm just glad I got max payn3 for 10$ and ff7 for 8$. Only thing else I wanted was Arma 3 but I wasn't expecting it to go down in price. Good sale I thought
I snagged Tomb Raider, Monaco, BL2 DLC and Postal 2
I'd say it was fine.
I got a shit load of games for free thanks to selling all the cards, I dont know what you guys are talking about
What are the cards
Yeah, I'm in the camp that would argue that the deals were great; It's just gotten to the point where everything old that I want has been on sale before, and the few new games that really interest me I usually have the cash to purchase at or near release.
And all that said, I still managed to get quite a haul during these sales, mostly consisting of games I would never have displayed interest in before (Farming Simulator, Euro Truck Simulator 2).
I don't know why I was expecting arma 3 to go on sale
I wait for games to go on sales like this before I buy them, so I picked up some pretty nice things (Darksouls, Farcry, Dishonoured and Fallout NV)
Got Darksiders 2 for ten dollars, pretty good. Also used the money I got from those cards to get Psychonauts and System Shock 2. Pretty awesome.
I'm pretty happy with this sale, if only because I get to play some games that deserve playing. Fun times Steam, thanks.
Cards are all well and good, but I'm sad a lot of older games never went lower.
Jurassic Park and Wallace and Grommit are all I need to complete my Telltale collection, and it's looking like neither of them are going below ten bucks.
every big sale i buy 20 copies of bad rats and hand them out
you could say i enjoyed this sale

For those wondering, its $.50

Got Batman: Arkham Asylum, Bully, CoD: WaW, FC3: Blood Dragon, Far Cry 1 and Sleeping Dogs this sale
Those complaining about the quality of the sale, maybe its just because you already got all the games you're interested in?
If I had a hunch as to why this sale wasn't very good, I would guess it was because none of the big Triple A titles from the last year or so went below 20 bucks. Hell, Skyrim has been out how long and the base game alone was still over $20.00.
I think it is probably publishers trying to hoard their money in. Still, I'm happy, I got Fallout 3 and New Vegas and Darkest Hour (not the RO2 mod, the HoI2 spinoff) for $15. Hours of content for that much is damn near unbeatable.

System Shock 2 was fucking ballin'
Good choice
Fuck you all I enjoyed this Sale, got me plenty of games.
I didn't get any games. :'(
Broke as fuck.
What are the cards
Everybody got the same idea and destroyed the cards value after 2 days.
imo what makes the sales seem boring is that after a couple of days a big part of the daily deals games have already been on a flash sale before.
