Ok, this is gonna be a huge spoiler if you haven't finished the game yet:
[sp]This isn't an alternate universe Elizabeth, or at least one version of Elizabeth closely related to the "primary" elizabeth. Why?
- She calls herself Elizabeth. That name was given to her by comstock. Without the whole comstock-is-booker deal, her name would be Annabelle. In other words, this Elizabeth has some relation to the "infinite" Elizabeth.
- Only the "primary" Elizabeth wears a thimble on her pinky.
- Motherfucking songbird brooch, which shouldn't exist in an underwater-Bioshock world.
I'm willing to bet this isn't just a cookie-cutter "alternate universe/storyline" DLC. I'm pretty sure this is a straight-up continuation from the ending. Elizabeth is pretty much omnipotent by the end and while "our" Booker and all his Infinite variations are destroyed, he apparently still exists in other universes where the Booker/Comstock debacle was never a consideration. My guess is this Elizabeth rescuing this version of Booker as way of setting this right.[/sp]
Yeah, I'm pretty damn excited!

I too have the theory that [sp]this is Elizabeth either from the main story, or from another universe of Columbia. It just seems to with what we've seen, and with what Levine said, she came and gave a job to the DLC's Rapture Booker. She decided to seek him out.[/sp]
I can't wait for this DLC.

Any information regarding the release date?

None whatsoever.
Eurogamer: Will the DLC be out by the time the next-gen consoles are out?
Ken Levine: I'm not going to say any dates until we're absolutely positive. I imagine some of it will slip past the... At least some of it will slip past the... First one won't.
Is Clash in the Clouds the first part of Burial at Sea, or is it an entirely separate DLC?

Entirely separate.
It has a teaser towards the DLC, [sp]when you do everything you can open a tear that a splicer comes out of[/sp], but it's the same Liz and Booker we played as in the main game as far as I know.

They're definitely up there though.
Yeah and I didn't really play B:I for the gameplay anyway so I think I'll skip this one. Burial at Sea sounds sick though.

Sure, but they at least put some effort into making it fun. Plus, it's cheap. Also the season pass includes two story DLC's that look amazing.
I honestly don't know what everyone was expecting.

Even Levine said that it was sort of a stopgap to provide the fans with something.
I wonder if when you play as Elizabeth in the second part, there'll be weaponized tears.
Like you open up some tear and a shipping crate falls from it and crushes a bunch of dudes, or you open up a tear of a firing squad who were gonna execute some guy but you open up the tear and they shred whoever you opened the tear in front of. Or possibly, you open up a tear, shove a dude in it, and close the tear.
That'd be fun
