People are going to preorder it even if they preordered watch dogs and hated it
that's why it 'works'
Why not? I preordered FC3 and it was great, FC4 looks like it will be just as great.
Not getting the Gold edition though.
Whats the point of preordering outside of getting items the publisher specifically setup to get people to preorder. If you're getting it on steam, you won't be denied a copy on launch.
$37 there in Russia, while most of the AAA games are $25. You're mad Ubisoft, nobody is going to buy the game at that price.
$60 here in aus
not that bad at all considering a lot of other games are prices $80 and up usually
Daily reminder that Ubisoft just cant deliver on products anymore.
They rolled out AC Unity and Far Cry 4 pre-orders today, and they cost twice as much as usual pre-orders in Russia. And people will still buy that. It's the same shit everywhere, I see.

It was like that at first with Watch Dogs then it went up to like $75 or something after a couple of days.
Annnnddd the price in Australia went up to $74.95 and $114.95 for the Gold edition.
Yeah no thanks Ubi
Oh boy im gonna give ubisoft $60 right now so I can have my ass ripe and ready for November 18th to get it absolutely fucked by Ubisoft again, wonder how they will fuck me this time.
No 10% off or anything?
Get fucked. I'll buy it after the reviews come out.
Just preorder it off some CD-key website if you don't want to pay the steam price. The worst that could happen is you won't get to pre-load the game but you'll save 30$.
I haven't been following. Since when did fp start hating on Far Cry 3 and 4?

watch_dogs probably, tho there's always been some weird circlejerk about uplay

I don't see the issue with WD other than people being upset about the graphics, but uPlay is a piece of shit. Pirates have less trouble getting their games working than I did launching FC3 through uPlay.

People are upset because that one gentleman found all the old E3 2012 shaders and such to make the game look pretty in the game files and put them back in. Then the game ran better than it did vanilla.
even if you want this game, fuck pre-ordering. you can't trust games will function at launch, let alone be good enough for 60+ dollars. sit up straight, goddamn it.
Please don't preorder this game
why? far cry 3 was amazing, i have no reason to believe this wont be just as good. plus, coop!
the game ran better because the guy also did some tweaks to files that needed tweaking
infact im p sure he said the game runs worse in general with the shader but the tweaks countered it
Even then, shouldn't those tweaks be done by default in that case?
ya p much
but im just tired of the misinformation about the situation spreading what with the whole "IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE E3 AND EVEN RUNS BETTER BECAUSE OF THAT"
i dont know why ppl seriously think it looks like the e3 build, what with the lack of wind and physics object clutter and shit
Really?
Who fucking cares what it looks like!? I'm just not happy Ubisoft is more than happy to repeatedly lie to paying customers and continues to get away with it.

i'm gonna play the devils advocate and say no you weren't misinformed at all. after e3 ubisoft released tonnes of footage of the game in it's current build.
yes its unfortunate you were lied to at e3 but dont even pretend for a second later footage in the several months before release wasn't representative of the game. Hell there was a whole controversy about it when they released ps4 footage of it, then later on nvidia released theirs which was almost identical to what we got.

I was never a paying customer, Watch_Dogs™ never appealed to me and nor did the price. On the other hand you can't argue that doesn't Ubisoft breed mistrust and treat customers like shit and still remain one of the most successful companies in gaming.

As silly as it sounds I'd prefer to have the game linked to Steam. But being Ubisoft you can't get steam keys outside of Steam itself. Everyone only sells Uplay games.
Aaand Australia wins again with the most expensive game!

Where are people getting $60 prices from for Aus? Not on Steam anyway.
I would still buy this game because it looks like fun.
[sp]Bite me.[/sp]
[editline]2nd August 2014[/editline]
Also you don't have to buy the gold edition :v:

Nothing wrong with that. Unity also looks fun but I'll wait for price drop simply to save some buck.

I think it's silly how another game goes the same pre order price and suddenly it's "HOLY FUKIN SHIT VURST GAME OF YEAR, EVIL DEVS BURN IN HELL CYA CYA BYLT BYLT"
Like seriously guys, can't we go one pre order thread without having to quickly shit on things?
I'm not sure what you mean. The price is quite damn high for a product we know nothing about besides some E3 footage that has a high chance of being misleading.

$60 is regular price for all new AAA titles.
Or were there AAA games that somehow cost a single penny?
Just because it's a regular price does not mean it's not a lot.
Why do you suddenly drop into an extreme of one penny? I just don't see what you're trying to convey.

I'm conveying that this is how things just are, and they are NOT going to change because a bunch of whiny nerds want new AAA games that probably cost over a $1 Million for all the coding, VA, etc that needs to be done, to have it's pre order price cut in half.
If I can scrounge up the money from a job to pre order games I'm interested in, so can other people. If they can't they can just wait for the sales.
I'm perfectly content with all of this.
