Fuck yeah I can't wait to kill some dirty Brits!
So much American bias that an unlockable costume will be Conner wearing American Eagle 'swag'?
It was good up until the slow-motion American flag 'truly free blah blah blah' nonsense.
That was my favorite part.
I'm pretty sure the way that this game is going is that at first the US would be a nation free from the Templars, but after the war they (the Templars) mess up everything anyways.
I'm pretty sure he's unbiased. On one hand he considers himself with the outsiders and on another hand he wants to fight for his land. Also, who cares about any slight American bias. As long as it's not AMERIKUH FUK YEA I don't see why you care? Somethings telling me a lot of people wouldn't give a shit if he was biased wit the British.
Because before the Assassins have been largely neutral in big things like this.
Because before the Assassins have been largely neutral in big things like this.
Did you hear the monologue? Just wondering.
Fuck yeah I can't wait to kill some dirty Brits!
Can't wait to kill me some ungrateful yanks.
the american bias is just the patriotism from back then
the american bias is just the patriotism from back then
Except it doesn't really make much sense coming from a Half-Native American, Half-British character - Especially since the Natives were more likely to be hostile to the Colonists during the War of Independence, and more tribes aligned with the British. (I wish I could remember the name of the Tribe that had a really close alliance with the Brits and provided them with Trackers etc)
Somethings telling me a lot of people wouldn't give a shit if he was biased wit the British.
That's mostly because we already have a ton of games revolving around Americans that have that sort of "Fuck yeah!" attitude, mostly FPS games. That's not the case as much with other nationalities as there are very few that will put other nations in the spotlight in a non-antagonistic role. So if something displays even a small amount of American bias then some people will still roll their eyes at it simply because the trend is very tiresome. Still, we don't know the full aspect of the game and this is only a trailer. Hopefully the full game will have a more neutral attitude.
The American bias is present in the trailer because they're trying to sell it to Americans. There will be missions killing Americans, natives, etc, too.

Seriously guys, you can't expect them to advertise to Americans that you kill quite a few colonists in the game.
The first assassins creed was the only part of the series I thought was good. But this game looks pretty decent.
I don't understand how he can say he'll "kill the enemy no matter their allegiance" yet he's only killing the British in the trailer.
I don't understand how he can say he'll "kill the enemy no matter their allegiance" yet he's only killing the British in the trailer.
Templars on both sides. Im sure at least half of the founders, Washington, and others are Templars, but Connor doesn't find out till later or they switch allegiance. [editline]12th May 2012[/editline]
The first assassins creed was the only part of the series I thought was good.
Did you hear the monologue? Just wondering.
I did, that doesn't change what he's doing
I don't understand how he can say he'll "kill the enemy no matter their allegiance" yet he's only killing the British in the trailer.
Well he says that line right when he's about to fight a bear, so I'm guessing he's referring to killing his enemy regardless of them being British or a bear.
I honestly thought the first one was the worst of the series.
It felt as if they knew what made a good game, but didn't know how to make a good game.
We, the British are if you don't remember in the 1700's were child molesting rapists, killing and looting everything across Northern America. Or atleast that's how we're portrayed across a majority of media published about the American Revolutionary War.
I can see why they did it, but yeah, I really did facepalm when I saw him killing redcoat after redcoat while the voiceover explicitly stated he was not on either side. It's like the visual guys and the audio guys weren't even talking to each other.
