Some PC games are, but you'll mostly seem them at $80-$100, and $100-$120 for console games
That's why I only buy off Key Sites.
Then I'm a fucking moron and proud of it.
Imo pre-ordering three months before release is a stupid thing to do, no matter how good you think the game will be.
The game isn't out yet and it is a complete fucking sequel not SR3.5 like you guys whine and bitch about even though you have no proof.
Wait until the game is released and it happens to turn out it is SR3.5 before you say shit like this. You have absolutely nothing to base your claims on, all you have to go by are small snippet videos showcasing a few features in the games alpha or early beta stage.
SR4 is just as much of a standalone game as SR2 was. Built upon the same engine and city, obviously re-using assets to focus on more important things that adds to the games.
I'm judging the game based on what I've been shown so far by the devs. Never said anything was final, I can easily change my mind down the line. But based on what we've been shown, I don't like the looks of SR4. I guess I should've made that more clear than to try and state it as though it were fact. Let's not turn this into what the last SR4 thread was.

Did you not watch the trailer this thread is even about? Pretty much everything shown in this trailer is completely new stuff.

I will pre-order tomorrow. Pre-order bros.
Personally waiting til after E3 and Idolninja can tell us his experiences from the game before I pre-order.
this game is gonna own fuck the fun-haters
I loved some of the references you could see in that trailer.
Also, Keith Davids.
I was unsure if the game was worth getting, but that trailer may have very-well converted me.
Guys, I know GTA doesn't come to this case, but I don't remember people complaining about Rockstar doing two games (yes, EFLC is considered a new game) using all IV assets that only had new story, protagonists, vehicles and songs...
I knew this game was going to be 50 dollars or more. I'll wait for a sale, a big one.
£40? I do not like this new trend at all.
$70? I was interested in this up until I saw the price. I enjoyed SR3 a lot, but not $70 a lot.
Well then, it's a good thing you can get it on steam for $45....

No, EFLC is not considered a new game, it's a pack of 2 DLCs and isn't full priced.

EFLC is a somewhat new game, but before it was a DLC.
Well, I'm not sure about other places around the world, but GTA IV and EFLC cost the same price in the physical copy but not on Steam (Brazil).

Oh, you mean that, that was just a repackaging of the 2 DLCs along with all the GTAIV content, it wasn't marketed as a sequel or anything, it was for those who don't wanna buy the DLC seperately. And it was like 30$ on steam at launch.
Honestly this looks like it'll be a fun game, and as long as it's fun I don't really care about whether or not they reused their assets. That story trailer really made me excited.
Why are people in this thread acting like games usually cost less than $50? I'm a dumb American so I don't know other currencies
Hmm, $44.99 not bad. I'll pre-order next month.
I will pre-order tomorrow. Pre-order bros.
This is actually going to be the third game I ever pre-ordered on Steam. The first being Human Revolution, the second being Serious Sam 3. If you count the Torchlight 2 gift I was given, this is the fourth.

Yeah I'm going to wait a while too. There's no real rush.
Judging from everything we've heard, like how IdolNinja (who unlike the rest of us actually played the game) has been praising it all over the place, the game will be to the third game what SR2 was to the first. An enormous improvement.
[editline]6th June 2013[/editline]
And clearly everyone here hasn't seen this enough:
I'm pretty sure the trailers older than this one caused most of the hate.
Even though I think this will be pretty fun, I'm not really willing to pay $50 for something this heavily recycled.
Will definitely buy when it goes $20 or under though.

Keith David is in it instant buy.

Also since they are in a virtual world maybe they can bring back Gat as a virtual version of himself?

Why do people assume that it's just that easy to bring back Gat?
The VA is a busy man. They were lucky to even have him do what he did for SR3.

I remember Daniel Dae Kim tweeting that he was sad to see Gat go, and that he wanted to voice him more.
atleast they're not charging 60 dollars for it
atleast they're not charging 60 dollars for it
It's a whopping $70 here in Australia. Australians apparently earn a lot more per year than Americans, so everything on steam has an extra 5 to 40 dollars slapped on, because we can afford it. Fuck off we get bills out the ass here and food, bloody hell, it'll cost you $4.50 in some places for a can of softdrink.
I would buy it, but 70 bucks, with a lousy $5 discount for pre-purchase, I really, really rather not.
Don't pre-order games, wait until they're released and you've read some reviews and seen some gameplay before you actually buy.
Reviews usually come out before games are released.
Aren't like all new games in Australia that price?
$70 for a new game in Australia is considered a bargain.

Unfortunately the standard of living in Perth is going to get a lot higher since our whole state depends on the mining boom which is ending. Whatever more we are making is going toward the price of a $12 beer at a bar.
