Make the animation in Flash, but load it on a web page through HTML5. If people can do that, then it's not really a valid argument.
Didn't Google also make a flash to HTML5 converter?
Very impressive.... for Flash. Especially with Adobe dropping further Linux spport for flash (They're only going to be supporting it with Google Chrome) - Flash needs to die. As soon as HTML5 matures, I can pretty much guarantee that flash will start to die out. Heck, even YouTube are phasing it out.
Flash won't die until HTML5 supports DRM, and HTML5 will never support DRM.
Lol flash DRM [editline]10th March 2012[/editline] Silverlight is used more for that and even they do a bad job at it
I like how both Unity and Unreal export to Flash now. Is flash on its way back?
Flash won't die until HTML5 supports DRM, and HTML5 will never support DRM.
Publishers just need to wake-up and realise that DRM is just a false sense of security and any pirates will always just find a way around it, no matter what. Heck, they managed to crack the blu-ray HDCP key. DRM is pointless, it always has been. Has it ever stopped piracy? Nope. Does it just annoy the hell out of legitimate users and make piracy the more attractive option? Heck yeah.
This gives me hope that there will someday be an iOS Elder Scrolls game.
I remember I played a really deep daggerfall clone on my Windows Mobile phone
Wait, was that Vita game the new Doctor Who adventure game? I was unaware that it ran on Unreal 3.

Pretty much all the licensing agreements contain such a clause.

I had no issues with performance, in fact, it was very fluid and enjoyable, but I didn't really notice any hardware acceleration. My GPU performance went to about 30% and I still had about 10% on my CPU as well, but when I disabled the hardware acceleration (right clicked the game, clicked settings, ticked the button to disable hardware acceleration) my GPU usage went back to 0% but I still had the exact same impact on my CPU (not even like 3% higher). I'm not quite sure what to think of this. Even after re-enabling the setting my GPU usage was at 0% and refused to go up again. I'd have to use a better monitoring software I suppose (I used CCC which only updates it about every 5 seconds) for some real-time monitoring.
if the doctor who game will also be on the wii u and has my wii mote used as a sonic screwdriver, I'm buying.

In this case it only applied to the button at the top. [editline]10th March 2012[/editline] As for your GPU usage, this wasn't exactly an intense graphics demo (far better results can be made of WebGL) and there's undoubtedly a FPS cap.
Software rendering doom style, hell yeah!
HTML5 won't have full support before 2021 or something and 99% of users on the internet has Flash. You know how people complain about developers dropping PC support? Well that's the same thing you want to happen to Flash.
WebGL isn't a part of HTML5, and HTML5 itself is mainly a standardised version of what browsers already do (and where there's new stuff, browsers are working quickly to support it) That said, Safari/Chrome/Firefox/Opera all support it pretty well, the only outlier is IE (They say it's for security reasons, but they have their own Direct3D backed "3D in browser" method which has the same issues, etc.)
can we stop overusing "epic" now? Okay.
I've never seen more boxes in my life.
Flash is dead
Why are developers still supporting Flash? With the introduction of HTML5 and WebGL to web browsers, you can accomplish just as much without needing an external plugin like Flash to make it work.
You can't expect an instant wonderful transition from one support to another. People are used to Flash and to this point HTML5 is still quite obscure, you have to give everyone some time so HTML5 becomes more and more important.
HTML5 won't have full support before 2021 or something and 99% of users on the internet has Flash.
I'd like some sources on these statistics.

Oh boy! Another graphical revolution! *Returns to playing Dwarf Fortress* Would be nice to see some new AI or physic handling system.
