The quote says literally nothing about it not being on PC, and in fact the LEGITIMATE contract signed between Activision and Bungie states that they will have PC releases.
If there isn't a PC version Bungie gets sued by Activision.

The contract says to have a PC release from Destiny 2 and future sequels. It never said anything about Destiny 1 getting a PC version. So they won't get sued for the first game if they don't release it on PC.

Most of the hype is due to the fact that Bungie is developing it, and this will be their first new IP in over a decade.

Did you even read the article, nothing Jason Jones said indicated whether Destiny is coming to the PC or not, on the other hand the contract between Activision and Bungie requires Destiny to appear on the PC, and Bungie's COO saying they would love to see Destiny on the PC and "stay tuned".

I don't think it's explicitly about controls, it's about the way the games themselves are played out. The overall industry has changed standards. This quote is really the big news-

I read it, and sure he's vague about it. (Destiny isn't announced on PC for a reason though.)
But Bungie still gives that vibe that pretends shooters are better played on consoles which is still wrong.
Especially wrong with him basically saying that Halo was revolutionary.
