Adam the Clown was an awesome kind of cheesy, most bosses in DR2 we're terrible.
DR2, like Fallout New Vegas, was meant to show that people are beginning to adapt. Unless something were to go terribly wrong, then they'd just live their lives like normal. DR2 was meant to be a brighter side to the series. The magicians were fucking great bosses, and the story was pretty cool, too.
Granted, the original Dead Rising was brighter than FO3 (Implying I'm saying that FO3 is to DR as FONV is to DR2)
I'm more excited for the Blur cinematic than I am for the actual game.
After Case West, they better resolve the damn story with the Blonde girl and the apparent "cure" for the infection.
Not sure which one is the canon story though. Capcom said at the time that as that DLC wasn't released on PC, PC players have the DR2 ending, while consoles have the Case West ending.
Might have changed in the time being, but that's what I grasped from reading interviews.
I want to buy this game to kill lots and lots of zombies.
I don't give a single shit about the story or writing.
DR2 was $40 on release too.
I'm in it for the puns

Frank was pretty fun too in OTR.
[sp]TK: You gotta be willing to risk it all, if you're ever really gonna- *Thrown over railing*
Chuck: -Win big!?
TK: You gotta be willing to risk it all, if you're ever really gonna- *Thrown over railing*
Frank: FALL TO YOUR DEATH?[/sp]
Case Zero wasn't over the top and had a great environment with a plausible storyline.
DR2 is over the top fun with a non-serious storyline for the most part.
Case West has a horrible story that asks more questions than it answers, it being an epilogue to DR2 makes that embarrassingly bad. The gameplay also isn't fun thanks to the infinite respawning NPC enemies.
DR3 better be good.
Whatever they do, it better be a decent PC port.
The thing with DR2 was that even if I wanted to play it, when I thought about how sluggish it most-often is and everything, it just deterred me. If I could have just turned off the damn shadows and the not-really-that-great ambient occlusion, everything would have been peachy keen.
This is good news for me, though. Love the Dead Rising series, always really fun for co-op with my friend.

Agreed. I love the work Blur does. It's a shame they're not really recognized, despite how much they do in both film and video games. I'd love to get a job with them after college.
This better have a PC version. I still wish Dead Rising 1 would find its way onto PC.

Of course it'll have a PC version. The terrible DLC might not, but who cares about that?
Don't know what to feel. Loved DR1, but was severely disappointed with DR2.
I hope they make kick-ass music similar to the songs found in DR1.

a port of dr1 to pc is all i want. with dr2 survivor ai. it would be the best thing.
Imagine Dead Rising 3 with silky smooth physics like Diablo 3 has for all its enemies.
What's good about DR1?

I quite liked the atmosphere it gave. It made you feel alone even though you had zombies around you all the time. It also had a horror movie feel to it in the way of cut scenes.
Also, Adam the clown.

The camera was a pretty shit idea though. But that's pretty much the only thing I didn't like in it.

Dead Rising 1 had a better setting, but to be fair, nothing will be more iconic then the mall for zombies. Frank's unlockable moves were a billion times more fun and effective then Chuck's moves. Dead Rising 1 is also a more challenging game, especially if you want to save all the survivors in the mall.
That's all that comes to mind immediately. I think Dead Rising 2 is the better game (Has better weapons, the crafting system, more zombies on screen, better survivor AI, COOP, no Otis, the list goes on), but Dead Rising 1 is still absurdly fun to play.
