So only one person gets to find out? So uh There could be nothing inside and people could just lie? noone would ever know the truth, haha
I really want someone to find out what's inside, have something in there for 22cans to confirm it's legit, and then that guy just fucks with everyone saying it truely inspired him and then he goes to the moon or some shit (even though he would have done something like that anyways)
"Mister Molyneux?" Yes? "Players are buying blocks to prevent anyone from breaking through the last layers" So it has begun...
I kind of want to be the one to break the last block so that I can hold it for ransom and see if anyone actually pays me.
At the current rate of progress, the cube will be complete in about 2 days oh man
What if it's another cube?
What if it's another cube?
Avatar works.
So only one person gets to find out? So uh There could be nothing inside and people could just lie? noone would ever know the truth, haha
When you break the last block, a postman rings at your door and delivers you a single french fry. Then Bill Murray shows up, takes it from you and says "no one will believe you" and leaves.
All this hype for probably nothing.
I think that its actually nothing and the whole "only one person will find out what's inside" is probably the best way to cover it up and put the blame on the users and not on themselves for not knowing what's at the end.
I've been trying to get an android emulator running on my PC to have a chance at the last few layers, but the frames drop to 0 after 30 seconds of the app being open.
If memory serves right, the player who unveils the secret has a choice to not reveal whatever it is. Wouldn't that be the worse of some asswipe got to the center and decided to not say anything?
Ahahah, oh god, I think I just realized what's in the cube. Nothing. When the cube is finished, there will be nothing, and everyone will simply be told that whomever got to the bottom decided not to share it. And nobody will be able to prove it wrong. [editline]25th May 2013[/editline] oh i got ninjad
Cube finishes, produces a youtube link, asking the user if they want to see what's in the box or close it forever. If they choose to open it, video plays: "I created this experiment to dabble with human psychology: to see just how far people would go and how persistent they would be to find what was inside the box; would people band together? Would they turn on each other at the end? Now, you've opened the box: You. Let me say before I reveal what is truly in the box, that first you must also undergo some psychological trauma just as everyone else does. Right now, everyone wants to know what you know and you want to know what I know. That's curiosity in its simplest form, isn't it? Well, let me cure yours ... but just for a moment. What's in this box is ... nothing but your own imagination and will; just this moment, where you have 'the answer'. Others may also claim to have 'the answer' and you're free to share them proof that you know what's in the box with the following youtube address [link]. What you do with the answer to this puzzle is yours. Do you keep everyone else's hope alive for a 'real answer'? Do you share the evils of the box with the world or protect it from learning the terrible truth? People have, by now, even invested their money into this box; perhaps money that they'd have otherwise spent on necessities. All in hope that they'd have what you have right now. So, you have many choices before you. Will you invent a better box; will you spread this ultimate truth to anyone else and let all else suffer in disappointment? Will you take this burden alone and spare others the disappointment and anguish? Or, will you lie? Will you tell them, 'it's a link to another box'? And there is one. [link] In case you can't decide or would like the box to continue onwards for someone else to find. I leave it all up to you because, ultimately, the goal of this exercise was, and I'm afraid to say this now, selfishness. I was curious to know what you'd do and you have my full complicitness in whatever you do with this power I've granted you. Send me an e-mail with the following unique password in the subject and we'll talk -- if you want. You could 'pay me back' if you feel disappointed: simply don't answer. There's a 50% chance at the end of the exercise that the cube would reset and if I somehow errored in my logic or the answer is malformed so that nobody ever gets this exact youtube address, I'll never know the answer myself. You have a single, unblemished, untouched, and pure power right now. Nobody can tell you what to do with the box and the answer within it. I look forward to seeing what you do and if this is the last time we speak: Thank you for participating and congratulations on getting here first." am i the only one here who has absolutely no idea what "Curiosity" is and what it's about?
am i the only one here who has absolutely no idea what "Curiosity" is and what it's about?
someone made a game and got people to spend their money on it.

Oh wow, he's talking about the thread I made. If you have a jailbroken iDevice with iFile, all you need to do is edit the values of how much money you have and instantly get the diamond chisel. Talk about secure.
4 layers left. [editline]25th May 2013[/editline]
Oh wow, he's talking about the thread I made. get ready for pics of peter molyneux's dick
Teach me your waaaays.
No, I'm serious, how do you do that?
I completely forgot about this. I spent hours on this during the first month that it came out. I think I played from the start until like 70 layers in. If there are 4 layers left, then that means that the cube is 325 layers thick.
For a second I thought the title referred to the rover.
I imagined pieces of metal and plastic slowly breaking off as it drove across Mars.
No, I'm serious, how do you do that?
1. Open iFile. 2. Navigate to /var/mobile/Applications/Curiosity/Library/Preferences/ 3. Open ''com.22cans.curiosity.plist with text viewer. 4. Look for LOCAL_SHARDS_EARNT key, and replace current value with 10000000000 5. Look for LOCAL_SHARDS_EARNT_HI and change the integer below from 0 to 1. 6. Open up Curiosity, and you're done. You could modify it to give you even more money, but I find the amount listed to be sufficient.
I tried it and it set me to negative 1 and some change.
That's odd. It worked for the others. Try LOCAL_SHARDS_EARNT with the value 2147483647 Then replace LOCAL_SHARDS_EARNT_HI with the value 1073741823 That would be the highest value you can achieve without it going negative. The first method should've worked, but try this one out and see what happens.

I know it won't be and this sounds really retarded 99% likely but if its HL3 I will smile. and then masturbate.
It's probably be something metaphorical or ~artistic~.
like minecrafts ~artistic~ ending Hint: it was insanely pretentious
I tried it and it set me to negative 1 billion and some change.
You probably set it too high and caused an integer overflow, set it lower
