and I'm not in any way saying that Brutal Doom should not be played by anyone because of it, I was just saying that he was all that as a response to proch's post

You forgot to mention absolute genius level design. Doom 64 by far has the best mapping in the whole series, a lot of them are my favorite maps ever made for the Doom engine, they have such a great style and balance to them.
Doom 64 is the real Doom 3 in my opinion, despite the lack of monsters from Doom 2.
It also shows that Doom can still be Doom even in a completely different atmosphere. I consider Doom 64 one of the greatest games ever made, it's just a shame that we had to play it on a shitty n64 controller all these years until Doom 64 EX came out, which everybody owes it to themselves to play at least once.

I tried googling around but all i found was a racist (super politically incorrect) joke, but everything else just sends me in circles.
Like seriously facepunch itself is was the source of many of the google searches.
I am sure he's a jerk, but neonazi accusations is not something that should be thrown around lightly.
He gave a depressed teen advice on how to kill himself on the ZDoom forums, he's also neglected to properly credit a lot of the people he took resources from (outside of a tiny F1 menu), and he's been a dick to a lot of people including his fans too IIRC.
But I've NEVER found anything to support the Neo-Nazi claim, I'd really like a source on that.

On the flipside, I started playing Doom when I was 18. DOOM II is now one of my favorite games if not my most favorite.
I will never really understand the "but dey screm in pane!!" point. It's nothing particularly shocking or new. I think they should take a moment to remember what happens when you play with fire in Blood and how if you injured some of the enemies just right in Duke Nukem 3D, they'd convulse in pain and start choking to death on their own blood with [I]realistic gurgles[/I].
It really makes them seem like they're actively trying to be offended.

When that happens, my reaction is to kill them as fast as possible to put them out of their fictional misery. It's something that actually adds an element of sorrow to the game, which I approve of. :(
