I was on Steam all day and didn't even notice it going out, must have been while I was in-game playing Kingdoms of Amalur :v:
Steam's service is so good I just figured it for a routine maintenance shutdown. Oh well.
To be honest in my 5 odd years of having a steam account and logging in daily this is the first time i've ever seen such a thing, that's pretty fucking good uptime right there.
I always thought the servers will spread out in various locations so an issue such at this in one place wouldn't prevent anyone from logging on. Mind you this is mostly because I can't ever remember a time where I couldn't log into the steam client (the friends/community system isn't so reliable).
Aren't those the content servers.
Shacknews is informative! Thanks! Didn't know what the problem was.
am i the only one who finds this funny?
"Our data center's uninterruptible power supplies experienced a power failure,"
