um bullets dont drop at all at that range wtf this game is very unrealstic
At 200 meters? If you were laying prone and aimed straight out the bullet wouldn't make it 75 meters before hitting the ground. Most Rifles and Scopes are already zeroed for 100, 200, 300 meters, or whatever, by the soldier... Not so in Sniper Elite, apparently Sniper Elite is NOT a Sniping Simulator. There aren't many games that get much closer out there, though, to simulating that shit. I mean, if you were looking down on a guy in Sniper Elite from way up, and he was way out there, OR from the same elevation as the target, and they're both the same distance away, You'd correct your sites the same for both spots. In real life there's a dramatic difference in the amount a bullet drops from both spots and you wouldn't. Besides, Humidity, temperature (Warmer bullets travel faster) Spindrift... None of that is in Sniper Elite. But that's a good thing. A hardcore sim would be a nightmare Would be nice if we had some Mildot scopes though. Ones that actually worked, so you could estimate accurately how far a target is

how much will this game be for the PC release? Average $60ish?
Its on steam for a regular $49.99. But right now its $44.99 because of a pre-release sale. http://store.steampowered.com/app/63380/ So I'd assume retail would also be $49.99, and I believe it uses Steamworks.

I'm so fucking bad at this game but I love it regardless
I wonder how multiplayer works
Does anyone know when the PC demo is coming?
They only go to consoles, so we have to wait until it releases to PC so they can annoy us with bugs and glitches so they can patch the game. :p
Just zeroing would be nice.
Yeah, I agree. I'd be happy with just elevation, But unless they gave us some Mildot scopes (Which I don't even know if they existed back in WW2 or not) it would be hard to judge the distance. Today on most Mil Dot scopes, you can take the height of an object, multiply it by 1,000 (On Most scopes it's 1,000 I believe, and on the correct magnification), then divide that by the number of Mil Dots the target takes up for a rough estimate of how far away the target is
They just probably just visually estimated. When you have the same rifle for 5 years you get to know how shit drops.
I seriously cant decide if to pre order this or max payne 3, i have no money at the worst of times :I
Got one X-ray kill cam, and that was it. It was an incredibly satisfying one though, an enemy sniper crawling away on a rooftop from the injuries I gave him, my first two shots missed, and then the last one in my mag hit, and it was glorious. The bullet curved perfectly to hit him in the middle of his rear and the bullet travelled along the length of his spine, smashing every single vertebrae on its way before exiting through his nose.
that's a hell of a way to die fatally anal raped by a bullet
This game remind me of Blitz 2 the league with this x-ray cam.
I luckily managed to get 2 kills with one bullet, and afterwards, an enemy picked up the body of one of his fallen teammates, and started carrying it away. I shot at the person carrying him, and I must have hit the grenade on the fallen soldier's belt, because there was suddenly a huge explosion, getting me 2 more kills.

Hnnng, I wonder what it takes to release the demo...
Maybe Steam has to certify it first. Also they have servers already over the world they need to upload to. My best bet is tomorrow.
Demo is out on steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/63380/
Great timing, i was just checking if this was up.
Demo is out on steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/63380/
That'd be great if Steams servers weren't shitting the bed and would actually let people get the fucking thing.
I'm going to sit all day tomorrow and shoot natzi's balls off! that is if the steam servers will stop shitting themselfs
