cool, now i'll get to live out my gender confusion in DayZ
Because the point is, this mod is supposed to be almost like a virtual reality of sorts. YOU are your character. Rocket is going for a "what if this really happened to you" type of set up. [editline]28th May 2012[/editline] http://www.worrom.com/
But most people die every other day anyway. It would make more sense to me to play as a different man or woman each time instead of the same guy just respawning over and over.
So only do it if you're actually a lady
Then what if you want to change because everyone is hitting on you?
Then what if you want to change because everyone is hitting on you?
Just shoot them in the balls I guess.
cool, now i'll get to live out my gender confusion in DayZ
Adding it to the Biography "Gender confusion"
One step closer to a 3D Hellmoo
I don't really get why they'd make it a one time thing at all Hell I don't get why they'd even add women to the game, it's not like they've been getting complaints from feminist organizations
Because to add ladies to a game you must be forced to do so via "feminist organizations"! [editline]29th May 2012[/editline]

i'd rather have no gals than the one in the middle tbh

The female models are suited well for the given scenario, I mean what do you expect, some lush-haired, D-cupped babes to be running around in Zombie Land? I would get so tired of that.

I didn't have such high expectations: I knew Arma 2's engine doesn't have hair simulation or jiggle physics :v: Also I've yet to see girls running around. A friend choose female but he still has a male body for some reason.
AND MY DAMN GAME STILL DOESN"T WORK! I still get the problem of being stuck at the "Loading Character data" screen and it never loads. What am I doing wrong!?
A friend choose female but he still has a male body for some reason.
http://www.facepunch.com/member.php?u=51838
It is nice to see that the female model doesn't look like a whore...
The cult of the undying sky mother needs battle sisters, get on it codemonkey!
It is nice to see that the female model doesn't look like a whore...
I haven't played since the new patch came out but it looks like they used the already existing female models from the game.
Like many of the other things Rocket has added for "realism", it won't actually serve its purpose the way he's expecting. 99% of the female characters are going to be guys if they have one chance to choose, or if they can every time. It doesn't matter.
I wonder how all the ungodly 'FIVE O CLOCK enemy MAN' dialogue will sound in the female voice.

Wouldn't kick her out of the bed. But I've had no problems with bad encounters, 99% of survivors I run into are friendly and I tag along with them, only bad encounters were the obvious bandits.
Like many of the other things Rocket has added for "realism", it won't actually serve its purpose the way he's expecting. 99% of the female characters are going to be guys if they have one chance to choose, or if they can every time. It doesn't matter.
remind me why this actually matters, again?
remind me why this actually matters, again?
Because there are going to be guys disguised as girls cheating other players out of their items, or whoring themselves out in order to survive. But, luckily, that doesn't matter as long as you don't affiliate yourself with any player with a female model who is suspicious. Don't trust anyone unless you know them (and can trust them) outside of the game.
why would you be forced to play as your irl gender
Most disappointing part of the patch for me is the removal of the bandit system. Now I don't know who to trust and everybody is just shooting everybody else on sight now that there are no repercussions for it. I have not met one single friendly since this patch rolled out; everyone has shot me on sight.
Bandits weren't necessarily untrustworthy and survivors weren't necessarily trustworthy. It was a broken system.
Bandits weren't necessarily untrustworthy and survivors weren't necessarily trustworthy. It was a broken system.
It was better than nobody being trustworthy.
goddamn scrubs, everyone knows that pr0 players use female models due to smaller hitboxes and general size making them harder to detect
The only thing I hate about having guys being girls in video games is hearing a man's voice inside a woman's body
People complaining about trustworthiness of other players are completely missing the point of this game :v: Every new thing being added to this mod is just to toy with the player's mind. I find it pretty awesome that female models were added. Will it change some player behaviour or not? It's a game about immersion, inaction, uncertain decisions and about the stuff that goes on inside your brain. I absolutely love it.
It was better than nobody being trustworthy.
But that's over half the experience. Not knowing who to trust, just like it'd be if it was real.
that was my point
But that's over half the experience. Not knowing who to trust, just like it'd be if it was real.
In real life people don't suffer from internet asshole syndrome. Most people seem to assume that they can't trust anyone and just shoot on sight.
