Is it just me or is Blizzard like remaking a bunch of games with their own twists
Like Heros of the Storm is a Moba
Hearthstone looks like Yu-Gi-Oh
And this, like everyone is saying, is like TF2
They said during Blizzcon that they love taking things they love and adding there flair to it.
Which is great because Overwatch looks fucking amazing, its the game ive been wanting for so long. I fucking loved TF2, its a great game and ignoring cosmetics I have 0 complaints, but I always wanted the classes to have more oomph in a game like that, where as Team Fortress Classic and TF2 I feel all I really had were some different weapons(I didnt use gimicky shit, played pretty standard) and running speeds, the Spys my favorite because he has an actual really unique ability and gamestyle.
Now Overwatch seems more about what the spy is like except everyone is the spy, all unique abilitys on top of unique weapons and what seems like a much more drastic gameplay difference between them all.

I actually feel more inclined to play this game than TF2 if Overwatch doesn't add annoying cosmetics
I'd honestly try this over TF2. TF2 is kind of a clusterfuck of different weapons nowadays.
Also, what's up with those huge ass guns taking half of a screen, this shit is so annoying, even in the trailer. This game doesn't please me visually already.
I think they didn't quite figured subtle specifics of designing art assets for fps yet.
they could change it, since the game isn't out yet, but I was talking about visual cues indicating what a character did/was

Its gonna, but I feel like its gonna be Blizzard only so the quality will be good, and I dont think they will go all fucking nuts like HoTs is with some shit. I think the shit fits HoTs since its a cooky game, but I dont think they will ruin overwatches artstyle they spent so long creating.
I dont care about cosmetics, its the fucking oversaturation of weapons in TF2 that turns me off now. That and f2p since f2p killed all my favorite servers.

I used to enjoy TF2, but once it went free to play I refused to play it, it just turned into a huge mess. This game could be interesting, and looks pretty fun, I've never played a Blizzard game I didn't love.
wonder how long till Rule34
Theres already 7 pictures... (NSFW of course you fucks)
I think I've lost my faith in living.
Will this have LAN? All multiplayer Valve game come with standard issue LAN, but since Blizzard kills LAN at SC2, I'd prefer hackable(moddable) TF2 server that I've run myself to play 10 players MvM
Don't even care about the criticism, this game looks fun a shit. Though Reaper's attack moves are a bit OP from what the gameplay trailer showed
Fuck ya'll this looks great
The "hero" concept from MOBA's is a great because it adds variety and keeps a game fresh (which is why DOTA 2 is one of the worlds most popular game still), and in my eyes combining the wide variety of fun you get with completely unique "heros" into a TF2-like gameplay structure sounds damn great to me.
Especially since I find MOBA's completely impenetrable due to its tiny dumb little systems that are simply carried over from oddities in the original Warcraft 3 mod and require literally HUNDREDS of hours of playtime to even begin to not be beginner tier with how many systems are involved with them. This takes the most interesting aspect from MOBA's (a large variety of totally unique player characters you can choose from) into something much more palatable

Funnily enough, this is the exact kind of thing Heroes is fighting against. And it's doing well.

Hope you two are aware that it's not difficult to prevent cosmetics from showing up in TF2.
At least they actually showed gameplay instead of just a CGI trailer.
I want a CGI trailer as well though.

There is a CGI trailer.

the THRILLA GORILLA IS BACK
Seems like fun, and in the end, that's all that matters.
Don't really care if it seems a lot like TF2, at least it seems like it'll bring some new things to the table.
I'm still going to prefer TF2

yeah look at this distinct artstyle like the alien class

???
It's a team fortress 2 clone that looks like a Pixar movie
Someone showed me .gifs of the cinematic trailer and I thought it actually was a new Pixar film.
yeah look at this distinct artstyle like the alien class

yeah because those are totally different classes and not something else
except the fact that those are you know
aesthetics
and not you know
an ENTIRE class that requires complex balancing

your whole point is that it's easy for newcomers to tell what the classes are and what they do.
Who the fuck is going to guess some black Scottish demolition man wearing a pirate hat is going to pull out a claymore and sprint at you holding a shield, or that a dude wearing a Christmas tree for a hat is going to fire out 3 rockets at me from a lead pipe

fuck you got me :v:
then again, EVEN THEN surely that's a LOT more simple than all the shit in the trailer?
imagine if every class was given alternate weapons like tf2 :v:

Oh definitely, the dumb anime characters they have in this trailer are still a whole lot more convoluted and dumb than most of the tf2 shit
I'm not a fan of 90% of the cosmetic naff from tf2 but they still have a fuckton more personality than edgy cloak man and anime girl #1 #2 and #3 for the most part (the dwarf and the gunslinger lookin' dude are kinda cool)

a lot of the costume stuff in tf2 is just completely stupid but it makes it interesting and keeps things fresh

I can apperciate that, I was pretty into tf2 back in 2007/2008 so maybe I'm just a little butthurt about it all

Nah, not really. In Overwatch you see robot monk do X and Y and then that never changes, in TF2 you see black eye patch guy shoot pipes and stickies but then oh shit now black eye patch guy is shooting cannon balls and zooming across the map with a shield and now oh shit black eye patch guy is running around really fast with a claymore and his eye is glowing, wait what the fuck now hes flying through the air like a dive bomber(complete with falling sound) and instantly killing someone with an explosion.

Some payload gameplay. But damn, those casters are cringe-worthy as fuck.
I might give it a look later. It reminds me more of Monday night Combat than TF2, and I really enjoyed MNC despite the sometimes hideous balancing and Uber giving it up rather quickly. It did have it's genuinely fun moments. This also feels slightly UTish at some points.
I don't know anything about Blizzard though to be honest.
I don't know what this claim is that people are going to be confused by too many characters. Is thinking logically that hard? Dude is a big fucking gorilla, probably has a lot of HP and tanks. Oh, he dropped a shield. Guess I can't shoot through that. Oh, that black coat dude has some hand cannons. Might be close range. Flying chick with a rocket launcher? Guess I gotta look up! Sniper classes that can detect people through walls? Guess I shouldn't peek corners they might be around.
The most confusing hero might be the robo monk, because I don't have a damn clue what he is suppose to be doing in the gameplay trailer.

oddly that happens very very little to me, but this has to be bias speaking as I'm not a newbie, and that's what the entire point is about :v:
Looks like DOTA 2 in FPS form. I wonder if they could have multiple heros in one team like TF2 or one hero per team like DOTA?
