• Why Didn’t Everyone Play Kingdoms Of Amalur?!

I know I didn't play it because I played the demo and holy fuck did it feel generic. Not to mention the title really made me avoid it. I heard it was good. Still didn't get a chance to play it.
The demo left me uninterested but I saw it for cheap and got it anyway while craving an RPG - this game is fantastic once you're allowed to move outside the constricts of the intro. It's a real shame about the whole Devs vs. Rhode Island business.
What's this about Devs vs Rhode Island?
As far as I recall, the state of Rhode Island invested heavily in the studio, but the devs sunk a lot of money in to the MMO and such and ended up going under. And I think the state of Rhode Island is suing for miss use of funds or for lying to them or something. Its been a while and was a pretty big deal a few months after the game was released.
Why didn't they make a new Rise of Nations over this? :suicide: R.I.P. Big Huge
I had no idea what it was, so that might have been why
Because nobody I know knew about it, and it looked pretty retarded to me. Big Huge was stupid and ditched their Rise of Nations fanbase, I would have bought that.

They won, so now the state of Rhode Island owns all assets of 38 Studios, as well as the rights to Kingdoms of Amalur :v:
